It took less than than 10k years for human to lose their once-lush body hairs, I wouldn't be surprised if human race exposed to a totally different environment and diet would turn their skin green.
That, or the producer thinks aliens should have different skin color, from earth or not ^_^

Susume was known to question and defy Okita's command from time to time. It's funny to see that he hasn't changed after years. Of all the crisis, Okita is always the calmest and makes the right decision, Kodai really should learn some of that, perhaps through more experience. It's not until later in the movie (12/15) that he start to 'sync' with Okita on decision making.
