I prefer the UEF spirit as well, lots of health and t3 point defense (in any game I'm a sucker for big health) but they don't have any proper 'made for Fucking Shit Up' mobile experimentals, so I have to use Cybrans for the Monkeylord, Soul Ripper and Megabot whatever it is.

"Free look" as in making it look like you're standing on the ground? If that's the case, then just hold down the space bar and move your mouse. If you want it to stay that way for a while, press Ctrl+v before the space bar thing. This toggles the free camera. To deactivate it, just press Ctrl+v again.

Ok .... first things first .... this is a MOD called Black Ops Unleashed. 2nd, that transport is an experimental unit buildable ONLY by the commander (last time i checked anyway) and to build it you need the T4 (experimental) suite upgrade.

How do you capture such smooth camera movements? I've only played the original SA. Does SA:FA allow you to move the camera slowly? I also noticed a zoom effect, is that new too?

I have to agree. Those experimentals are really something to behold! However, I'm having a little trouble with the transport. This is probably just on the Eye of the Storm map, but every time I try to use that transport to move my forces to the front lines, it would either move to another spot, or try to head for the enemy base.  With all the tmie I wasted with that, I could've just build 5 Megaliths and tore the base up that way. But outside of that, everything I've tried works so far.

I thought so. I have a question regarding the mod.  Do you ever encounter any issues with experimental restrictions? For some reason, when I play using the BlackOps mod, I end up only having two choices for the experimentals (at least for the Cybran) - the Monkeylord and the [uber] Battleship experimental unit. All the other standard experimentals are unavailable. Has this ever happened to you? If so, how did you resolve the issue?

No, I did it right. Spaztiks walked me through the modifications that came with the mod. Apparently, there's a tech 4 engineering suite upgrade in the commander that unlocks the remainder of the experimentals. I suspect this would work with Support Commanders too, though I wouldn't know seeing as I have yet to use them. BTW, I'll be uploading some videos soon on my gameplay (amateur vids, but still). If you would like to criticize my strategic implementation, you're welcome to it. :)
