  • If I was there i would be making a pit start... one way or another. I hate faggots who just stand on the pit floor like they are watching a fkn movie. move bitches!

  • Melechesh is truly one of kind!

  • there's no metal like black metal

  • fucking awesome death/black metal band!!!

I have listened to them since "As Jerusalem Burns" and they are fucking great

    nice sound

  • these guys are really good im very surprised they havent had any videos and shit on tv. OH YEAH AMERICA SUCKS NOW ROCK AND ROLL AND METAL ARE TABOO AND HIP HOP RAP AND R AN B ARE IN. FUCK YOU MTV FUCK YOU POSING AMERICAN SWINE. The crowd is horrible but then again its amsterdam so ther probably to high an numb to move.

  • This crowd sucks, it was pretty better at Cernunnos III on saturday...

  • Dude...these guys are fucking amazing!

  • Fucking lame ass crowd looked like statues! I would've went crazy there lol. Hail Melechesh \m/

  • first of all there ain't no sign of hardcore in melechesh's sound whatsoever... also there isn't a trace of melodic black metal in them besides the black metal! like the band said themselves they are sumerican black metal and for us people we can put them in the blackened death metal genre/folk

  • Very nice video.. good sound quality too! Thank you!

  • its pure whatever what music they play. melechesh play music with the themes of sumerian and assyrian mythologie. So theyre Sumerian/Assyrian Metal, eh?

  • Melechesh is SUMERIAN BLACK METAL!!!! Until the end!!!

  • orgasmic melodies

  • oooohhh yeah

  • larppaajia

  • "emissaries" is one of the greatest album I ever heard!

    this song rules

    hail melechesh !

    meejir

  • Melechesh at Chaulnes (on March 22nd 2008) YEEAAAHHHHH

  • -I- A Sumeran/Mesopotamian Black Metal -I-

  • I LOVE YOU SOOOOOOO

  • awesome! cant expect anything less from these guys

  • thrashing sumerian black metal!!!!!!!!

  • Melechesh is not even melodic black. Do you have any idea how melodic black sounds like? And don't call it hardcore. You're fucking insulting them.

  • amazing.. perfect fusion of hardcore metal and odly middle eastern elements..especially in the drumming.... fucking awesum! 5 stars!

  • Dude there's no hardcore involved in this whatsoever. It's melodic black metal. Notice the constant rhythm and the *gasp* SCALES?! You don't find those in hardcore, it's all breakdowns and random notes/pinch harmonics for the scene kids to dance to.

  • well technically speaking you are right, but i just like to describe anything which sounds heavy as being hardcore lol. :)

  • Hardcore is a genre.

  • yeah, i know that. i just wasnt reffering to the genre.

  • Alot of people use the words Hardcore or Extreme about black/death metal.

We know it's a genre, doesen't mean you gotta be a dick about it :D

  • yea man, totally.

besides a lot fo whats considered "hardcore"[ie metalcore, emo etc] sucks.

  • actually, not. hardcore is considered mostly by hardcore punk. metalcore is the most commercial subgenre of hc punk and emo is.. well the gayest, perhaps? otherwise hc punk is ok if you ask me. there is hardcore techno also and it's cool too

  • agrees

  • not everyone's first language is english, the OP was just trying to say these guys kicks ass

  • Melechesh genres themselves as "mesopotamian metal", but it can also be called blackened thrash metal with folk influences.

  • look dude, thats fine but i say why the hell would you want to liit bands by fitting them into neat little genre boxes? why cant we jsut agree that their metal with some middle eastern influences and leave it at that? :)

  • i don't see trying to attach genre labels too bands as confining them to a specific sub-genre. the best metal bands often aren't restricted to one genre. children of bodom for instance are black, death, thrash, melodic, almost symphonic on some tracks. its just a way of listing elements of a band, not necessarily labeling or branding.

  • Indeed. It's just a way to help communication. Edguy is Metal, Melechesh is Metal, but unless that person is me, I wouldn't reccomend one of them to a fan of the other. They're not even similar. Labels ARE needed.

  • too bad bodom sucks

  • Awesome band, very shitty crowd though. They look like they are half asleep!

  • how do you know there isn't a mosh going a little in the back? usually the first lines are like this..

  • One of my favorite bands!!!

I even love their 1st album "As Jerusalem Burns". Wish they would come to Finland, don't have money to go see them at foreign countries.

    Btw, Emissaries rocks!

  • fuck yeah, listening to Ladders of Sumeria right now!

  • I loved the show in Caos emergente, portugal 2007. EXCELLENT :) I have the picture that i took with them to remember that day :)

  • i love this cd, they have their own style

  • that whole cd was just fucking unbeleivable

  • Hell of a great band, love the guit parts and vokills. Drums, ok but too thin. No need for the second guitarist since he's simply doubling. Where the fuck is bass in metal? It's always been next to nonexistent. One of my major beefs with metal in general.

  • Just because this person recorded on a shitty camera doesn't mean that there's no bass presence in metal. A lot of Black metal bands are bass-centric, as well as death metal bands. Doom metal, I'm not too sure of, and Thrash has had some good bassists. Don't judge an entire genre on a few bands.

  • my camera is not shitty!!! %/**¢#@&!!!!!

  • No, I stand corrected, it's not. But that doesn't mean it produces studio- quality sound, either. Not to mention, the other guy probably couldn't hear the bass because his amp was on the right side of the stage and you were filming from the left. You did a great job of not shaking the camera, though.

  • Melechesh rules! Best Band from Party.San 2007 for me!

  • my fav song

  • its funny, i don't really like Emisarries or Sphynx, i only REALLY like Djinn. Djinn is probably they're best album for me.

  • funny moshpit... ch ch ch

    KREATOR rules!

  • I can't wait to see these dudes in Calgary in September!

  • I was there the crowds were actually good big moshpit and active crowd but I see this filming is from the side of the stage

  • is proscriptor behind the drum kit?

    btw this crowd SUCKS

  • jep it sucked. the whole festival sucked. but who gives a fuck about it anyway? :-D

  • Proscriptor is not behind the drum kit. He has not played for them in quite some time - It is Xul.

  • @kkinkead

    No it's Xul.

  • These guys are amazing, the best song Triangular Tactic Fire

  • I'm going to see them live at Party San this year. Can't wait!!!

  • hahaha They're coming to Canada in September!

    noctisvalkyries (dot com)

  • These guys need to come to the USA!

  • geiler Auftritt. War positiv überrascht von Melechesh.

  • Man I wish Americans weren't such big sissies when it comes to music and middle eastern people, otherwise Melechesh may come stateside some time.

  • Melechesh will be coming stateside in the near future - just an FYI!

  • WHEN!?!? Are you talking abut that thing in Canada, because unfortunately I can't afford it. Besides, I'm going to see Cannibal Corpse and Goatwhore that day.

  • Sehr gutes Video und geiler Auftritt der Band!

  • great video! been wanting to see live melechesh for a long time!
