Metal, if you go on N, then press the backslash key (\), the pipe key (|) or the weird thingy key (¬) then you'll get onto the N level editor. There's a detailed guide included with the download of N upon how to make a level, play it, view it, record demos, etcetera. The level editor takes a little while to get comfortable with but eventually it becomes second nature.
