  • Quints sharking days are over for a while

  • 0:29-0:31 is a great shot

  • jaws om nomed before it was cool

  • Robert Shaw the actor that played Quint did an amazing job with his blood curdling screams!!

  • @MsDominic20

Yes, he did. To this day I can't figure out how Robert managed to scream that loudly for that long without cracking his vocal chords in half. His performance is what elevates this scene to one of the best cinematic death scenes in the history of motion pictures.

  • @JCRME32 Totally agree with you! Robert gave a outstanding performance playing Quint!! I hope we won some kind of award for doing his part so good.

  • @MsDominic20

Sadly, Robert was not even nominated for Best Supporting Actor. Though the film won four Oscars, none of the lead actors in Jaws was nominated for anything, and in my eyes that is a travesty.

  • @MsDominic20 how did they make the blood come out from his mouth?

  • @Ozzythenutter1046LS good question!!

  • Remember the banana boat attack in 4 though. That woman was hot.

  • @Navyfoots the shark definately thought so since he gave her a lethal love bite to the leg lol

  • this the main reason why the other Jaws movies never surpassed the original.....

  • did he died?

  • @0180917 No hes alive and well and now lives down under the sea with spongebob, YES HE DIED MORON

  • @SincerestTester I feel very sorry for you if you thought I was serious. Good day to you sir.

  • @0180917 Well dont go around videos making retarded ass comments fuck you and good day to you sir

  • @SincerestTester You should do death scences on jaws 2, 3 & 4: the revenge

  • @CakeForNoobz I would do 2 and 3 if I had the time but the revenge was just UGH horrible I couldnt even follow the story line there

  • @SincerestTester Well, Come to think of it, 4 was better than three so you shouldnt realy film 3, just 1,2,& 4

  • @SincerestTester i know right!?

  • @SincerestTester revenge was terrible

  • @SincerestTester Good day to you sir.

  • NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM

  • its kind of funny if you think about it

  • Wow the shark looks really fake :/

  • i watched this with my dad when i was 7 and he said, "that's exactly what happens when you're an asshole" at Quint's death. So, every time i went to swimming lessons i had to evaluate myself if i was a good the past week. I quit pretty soon after that.

  • This film made me afraid of going in swimming pools, lmao

  • im11 i watched this and it only gave me a chill

  • If only quint had grabbed onto something...like the ladder lol.

  • " Here's to swinnin' with bow-legged women ! ". And here is Quint going the same way as ' Chrissie Watkilns' in the opening scene of the movie.

  • I saw this movie when it first came out and left the theatre with the jitters. I never even looked at a BATHTUB with the same eyes again! One of my all-time fav movies!

  • This gives me a bony

  • haha how was the PG

  • this scene in the movie was the scene that most freaked me out. yeahh.

good movie for the '70s though.

    i love shark movies.

  • Even tho its a mechanical shark, its still a very terrifying movie,

    CLASSIC!

  • im 11 and i went ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I first saw this scene aged 10. It gave me goose-bumps and a fear of swimming.

  • @lemurfan123

Yep every time I swim I wonder whats below me, and thats the scariest shit about it, you dont know what swimming beneath you.

  • @SincerestTester I know! I always have to swim underwater in the 'deep' end of the pool, so I can see what is beneath me, lol. In the 'shallow' end I am fine.

  • @SincerestTester

Even in a swimming pool :-P?

  • @lemurfan123 i saw this at age 8 and it didnt scare me at all.

  • @TheJgreen101 Stop lying that's like saying Justin Bieber is a good singer

  • @SincerestTester im not lying i knew it was fake. and justin bieber is not a good singer

  • @SincerestTester i was scared of the other movies but not that scene, i dont know why

  • @TheJgreen101 Then u r awesome,. Congratz! (no sarcasm).

  • Comment removed

  • @lemurfan123 i saw this first at 6 i go swimming lots of times in the ocean (im 10 right now still doesnt scare me

  • I first saw this scene at age 12, and it scared the SHIT outta me!

  • Nice rubber/plastic shark. And i love the powerful emotion of the other men seeing there friend getting killed..... *Cough* Sarcasm

  • @Jo3Vlog You are shit.

  • I was watching this movie with my best friend and I was laughing my head off and she was looking at the screen in terror

  • ded

  • That screaming is beautiful I love it

  • hahahaha i was the shark

  • they must have been laughing there ass off when they were filming that scene

  • so thats were my goldfish went!

  • OK that man got his ass wooped by that shark FUCK

  • They really did need a bigger boat :/

  • witch ''jaws'' was this?

  • @lvleloful the first one !!!!!

  • how does blood come out of the mouth when the legs and chest r bit?

  • He could have stabbed the shark in the eye with the Machete.

  • quints priceless scream xD!! 0:39!!!

  • this film is a fucking pg they must be fuckin retarded

  • owwwww i bet that hurt

  • surly he could of excaped that though or is he panaking to much becuase surly its not that slippery or is it just me somebody tell me if im right or wrong and why

  • That was awkward....

  • omg,.....ou are supposed to take your fingers and push them into both of the sharks eyes and he willlet go. people that fish for sharks should know this in case the worst possible thing happens

  • My question is, what is behind the shark? becaues it does not have a tail, meaning its a mechanical shark, but they never showed what was behind the shark.

  • EEWWW blood

    Gross

  • @derekboad What did you expect? Elmo?

  • @SincerestTester That'd be so much more awesome if instead of bleeding he just spurted elmo's.

  • @derekboad if you think thats gross check out pirahnna

  • man when i was a kid, i walked in right at this scene when my parents were watching it.. fucked me up

  • Robert Shaws screaming is what makes the scene so hard to watch.

  • @shadowman2192

Exactly. Those screams of his are bloodcurdling.

  • I guess trying to grab his hand only delayed what looked inevitable...poor Quint...:'(

  • Cant imagine the agony Quint must have felt...should have been Hitler instead!

  • Sometimes I ask myself, why is this movie rated PG?

  • @ssbbfan21656

Probably because the PG-13 rating didn't exist in 1975.

  • @ssbbfan21656 "Jaws" certainly walked a razor-thin line between a "PG" and an "R" rating back in 1975. Spielberg actually had to make some necessary cuts (especially in the gory Alex Kitner death scene) since an "R" would've been a severe liability for audiences and box-office potential. The "PG-13" certificate wasn't created until 1984, which was due to controversial violence levels found in Spielberg's own "Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom" & "Gremlins" raising parental ire that year.

  • Classic nom moment there

  • lol I can't get over the made visuals , lol I can't believe my mom thought this shit was scary , I mean I get the effects around that time was bad , but come on

  • Reminds me of saw

  • While you're down there Quint, can you make yourself useful and try to stab his eye or something?

  • This movie scares the hell out of me when i watch this as a young boy,so much so i avoid fish fillet burger for weeks....haha

  • offscreen 720p isn't my idea of HD

  • @BBQSteakPwns Ok well you gave me 1 view, a comment, and wasted 10 seconds of your life typing that comment. Thats all I wanted :) thanks!

  • @SincerestTester I flagged your video! :) no problem :)

  • we told you you need a bigger boat !

  • @HALraza you are right about cgi being horribly fake and sucky, and never looking real, bring back old animatronics, they actually look real, they aren't perfectly smooth with no texture and look like they're glued onto the screen

  • this film gave me a phobia of the sea and sharks. its awesome

  • @jugs554433

that's a shame! I've seen this film a bajilion times, and yeah it is scary, and I have been linked with people who have had their close ones killed by sharks, but I still maintain a strong respect and admiration for both the ocean and these animals....anyone who believes in finning should die

  • What goes around comes around, Quint was money grabbing swine.

  • pause at 0:30 and see how fake that shark is

  • @CrazySailor1637 no shit? its fake?? damn , i used to love this movie, but ...now ...i thought the shark was real ...fuck...steven tricked me, damn jews...for real now: watch deep blue sea and see how fake the sharks are. looking horrible compared to this one. and this is 30 years before this obvious cgi crap

  • @CrazySailor1637 looks like a toy

  • @CrazySailor1637 Yeah, because this movie wasn't made before cgi was invented or anything.

What did you expect, that they would genetically enhance a real GW Shark and use it on the movie?

  • ...why is Hakuna Matata "Up next" at the end of the video?

  • nom nom nom nom nom

  • Guys , this is how good classic death scene is !

  • cute shark

  • This is one of those scenes that fucked me up as a child.

  • i swear i once saw this on tv and after that there was a shot of half his upper body floating on the top of thewater

  • Amazing performance by Robert Shaw, his screaming sets my teeth on edge.

  • what has ''hakuna matata'' to do with sharks eating people, wtf XD!!!

  • WHY???? WHY DID YOU ATE HIM?? WANT SOME MORE(-:

  • if i were quint, id be shitting my pants

  • wait.. hankuna matata top suggestion?

  • POOR QUINT:(

  • Such a powerful death scene.

  • Brilliant scene from an amazing movie.

  • the shark is not a shark. is a mechanical shark!

  • the worst clip on jaws

  • it is funny how shriff brody throw is frontward

  • that's freaking sick.

  • shaw screams make the big part of the horror of the scene specially now as the shark looks more and more technically outdated with time passing

  • @carig121 This shark looks as good as the day I first saw this film to me, infact the shark looks fairly real the moment its head emerges from the water

  • It was a 12 film not a PG I think..I might be wrong

  • You'll spit blood out even if your only stabbed in the stomach. So in the 2 to last bite he already had blood in his mouth (not surprised)

  • @jasgfmb I was expecting a overflowing bathtub effect. Sharks have a lot of pressure in their bite, ugh lol.

  • the fact that theres no music in this scene makes it all the more intense

  • Too violent for a PG. Great scene though.

  • IT ATE ME! THE DAMN SHARK ATE ME!

  • This scene affected me so badly as a kid that I was physically sick to my stomach for days. Quint's screams have haunted me even to adulthood and my stomach still roils when I watch this scene. Epic!

  • I liked this movie, I just didn't like all the stereotypes it pursued. Like this one. A shark would never hop onto a boat and eat someone alive. People should also know that we kill sharks more than they kill us. that is all.

  • @SfordTheStickFigure

shark stereotypes? you`re obsessed my friend and paranoid

    calm down

  • @FriendlyCroock How is he paranoid? Its true! Have you NOT REALIZED yet humans are the REAL animals?

  • I watched this when i was 7 years old but didnt react much to it, now im 15 and get down right freaked out by watching it.

  • Most horrible scene in history !

    i remember that i hadn't slept for 3 days after i saw this !!!

when you come to realistic gore that can actually happen to you someday , you must hate your life !!!

  • I love how the recommended video that pops immediately after this is Lion King "Hakuna Matata.".

  • poor Capt. quint.....he did not deserve to die this way :(

What was it that Captain Quint always used to sing?

"farewell and adieu to you fair spanish ladies, farewell and adieu to you ladies of spain, for we've received orders for to sail back to boston, and so never more shall we see you again."

Farewell and adieu Captain Quint.......and greet me the spanish ladies ;)

  • Random blood from mouth

    wtf

  • @MrMendezy That last bite was a little higher on his body. If your lungs get punctured, you'll spit up blood.

  • @MaxCovington543 Oh.

I thought the shark kept biting his legs.

  • @MrMendezy Nah he gets a hold of him by the legs, then chomps and gets him around the mid section and finally takes a bite where the teeth go through his chest.

  • Keep pressing 9 lol

  • oh that poor little thing is hungry....he just cant help it...ROFLMFAO

  • next time throw a grenade

  • @HappyGuy00000 Yeah, I'm suprised this fishing boat didn't have any grenades

  • When is was 10 i got forced to wacth this bit and now im scared to go in the sea, but i like wacthing the shark die in 1,2 and 4, jaws 3 hasnt got cherifey rodey in it has it?? X

  • wow i just saw something didturbing

  • This is classics. When I watched that scene for the first time, I was about 10-11 years old. I cried because that was too much for my psychic. I still admire this scene as one of the most naturally pictured death scenes ever.

  • oh, ugh O.O X.X

  • 0:53 always makes me wince

  • 0:05

    HERE'S BRUCEY!!!!!!!

  • HOW COOL WAS THAT!

  • HE'S EATING HIM! THEN HE'S GOING TO EAT ME! OH MY GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWD!!

  • This traumatized me as a kid.

  • i think the original jaws is the best becouse jaws 2 was a little over the edge jaws 3 was terrible and jaws revenge was becouse of the unrealism

  • Jaws was one of the first films to break the barrier for film-related violence. After this came Halloween in 1978, another example of changing the way films were made. It's like our generation, viewing something like the remake of Halloween now, and in 10-15 years time, that will be nothing. I'm almost afraid of how far it will go. I can take some violence, but I almost walked out of the theatre when I saw the remake of Halloween!

  • The original scene was supposed to show the whole death take place, meaning that after the scene where quint spits up blood, the shark rattles him around for, maybe, 5-10 seconds more and then pulls him under. The problem was that this film was produced in 1975; in this time, something like this would have been the same as showing Dorothy get hacked to death in Oz. No one even imagined a scene like this one in any movie. It was very new.

  • Why am I watching this?

  • We're gonna need a bigger boat!

  • shouldve asked Batman for shark repellent

  • That's really gory and I wish they used his death scene from the book.

  • Fucking feeder!

  • @rocknrollbigmac

    LMAO!

  • -.- ever heard of shark poison Hollywood

  • @crazyman2171 Apparently not x

  • One of the best death scenes of all time, and hardest to watch. Just incase anyone doesn't know, apparently in the original script, Hooper is killed while in the shark cage. Then when the shark attacks Quint, they manage to kill the shark, but Quint's leg is caught on the spear sticking into the shark, and it drags him to the bottom of the sea where he drowns.

  • how the f*** is this a PG
