  • i'm learning to play this on the drums

  • @Kaneownzu is that some sort of joke?

  • @RetardedPlums you sir are mentally challenged. In other words, yes

  • @Kaneownzu all it is is the mere thumping of the bass drum

you don't *have* to even learn it (i put the asterisks in to emphasize the word)... just kick the bass drum repeatedly and you're done

  • @RetardedPlums It was a joke, there isnt even bass drum in this song #Facepalm

  • I want that picture

  • çàçàçà vol?... .

  • A soothing simple beautiful song that makes me feel better any time I hear it.

  • i love this song and the beatles i also think that cameron did do the song justice (guy off the glee project) and you may have a different opinion and thats okay but i like both, rock on beatles

  • @metour194 Genius quote... I LOVE YOU.

  • @KarinLouisePersdatte well said

  • lullaby for my babies <3

  • <3 it.

  • the song is talking a bout a black girl who is trying to be free

  • @gabiieeblahblahblah No. It's about a man singing to any colored person about their freedoms and that they can let go.

  • the beetles had emo hair

  • @botXeon no, i don't think they did, there hair was black, and usually short, (or medium depending on your perspective, [and aside from john lennon]) and they didn'y have it go over there eyes, or any such thing, but maybe im missing something, can you fill me in?

  • why you put a black bird picture on the vid?

  • @MrPianoguitar cuz the song is called black bird?

  • @codawgxx i don't get it

  • @MrPianoguitar blackbird = blackbird,

  • @codawgxx yeah sure, but why?

  • @MrPianoguitar cuz its a blackbird, which is the song name, and it seemed fitting

  • @codawgxx but it has a red beak, so it is not a black bird,i don't get it

  • @MrPianoguitar actually, the beak isn't red, if anything it is orange, but its supposed to be yellow, which is the colour of a birds beak

  • @codawgxx so isn't a black bird , is a bird with black body and orange beak , so the picture is wrong , i win

  • @MrPianoguitar wow you're stupid.

  • @MrPianoguitar It has a damn orange beak and in the left bottom corner it says "BLACKBIRD" . Be more observant . >:|

  • I knew this song before glee, and i already loved it! And Chris Colfer sung it well and now loads of people know the original! :) so all is good

  • If Glee brought you here, it's time to reevaluate priorities in your life.

  • @Neo1425 Well actually Glee made me discover the beatles and now I'm a fan so I think it's a good thing.

  • One of my favorite Beatles songs

  • this song has it's roots in The Black power movement, in the sixties. ie the Black Panthers of Oakland CA,

    WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I sung this at a School Concert :D

  • this song made my day...... thnxs....

  • Idk how people come up with glee when listening to this song...I guess people just like to make stupid comparisons and argue. This is a great song, like many Beatles songs.

  • I fall asleep to this song every night

  • <3 The Beatles <3

  • (takes a deep breath) (lets out slowly) ahhhh i love this song...makes me want to cry hahaha

  • Of course Glee did this song. They have to ruin everything. I mean, the viewers of that damn show are middle school and high school kids. They dont know what good music is. For god sakes! One of them said that the Beatles stole this song from them. Glee is just trash.

  • AHhh weed.

I was just sitting here and a bird flew up to the window

and then flew into the night! WHAT THE HELLS GOIN ON!?

  • @Weraisethenerdyflag jez, the song has nothing to do with a bird, its about a young man the KKK hung back in the 60's

  • @hotmn4u Lol i didn't say it had anything to do with a black bird...

Did you even read my comment before you tried to correct me?

  • @Weraisethenerdyflag loll, you made references to a bird. its ok, someday you'll want to know what in-a-gada-da-vida's about.. LOL!!!!!

  • The first song I ever learnt on guitar after 4 months of playing, just through pure love and enjoyment for this song. Thank you Paul :D

  • i'm learning to play this on the guitar

  • @constellation96 It's not that difficult of a song, if you want to learn it go ahead. But there are other songs of interest you could learn to play.

  • @constellation96 do you??

  • @constellation96 YOU AND THE REST OF THE FUCKIN WORLD!

  • this song is just beautiful..

  • Learn to play this @ my channel

  • Search "the Beatles blackbird on steroids" if you want to hear a rockin' version of the song. I guarantee you've never heard it like this! The video ain't bad either!

  • I do not like The Beatles` music.

I do like this sonq <3

    <3

  • I am crying

  • 泣きそうになる。

  • beatles did this song the best. true beauty

  • The only grandparent that made me feel special for being me was my poppy kevin. When he had a serious problem, the doctors did't know what was affecting him. The day I saw him in the Hospis, this song played and gave me a sense of hope. My grandfathers fine now and is living healthy. I liked this song befor I heard it in the Hospis. it, to me, says freedom or what people want to have, freedom.

Sorry to those who have lost someone close.

  • can hear the blackbird singing outside my window now (5.30am) beautiful

  • im 11 , and im trying to learn this , and my dad said " You Would NEVR learn this anyay " and i stopped , then , i started crying , :( , check out my video , " Buddy, Tribute to Duane Allman "

  • so sorry for your loss. i miss my grandpa too, i cry every time i see a photo of him and he passed over 30 years ago. thanks for posting this sweet song.

  • i know this song is about civil rights... but to me its a song about freedom in general and i love it

  • i love this song

  • I liked when Kert sang this on Gleeeee:DD

  • @wildwoodbay13 You mean Kurt

  • @4evaRyuk Yes, thank you(:

  • @wildwoodbay13 i didnt

  • @wildwoodbay13 who cares about " glee " it is GAY , take it from me , im 11 , and its GAY ok?

  • @CrumpKid2k Dude, who cares about your age and if you think Glee's 'gay' or not.. People like what they want to like so just shut up and enjoy the song!

  • @danf2k9 The thing about Glee and other shows, they bring great music to the ears of a new generation

  • @danf2k9 it's funny because the gay kid sang it

  • @CrumpKid2k Not to me. Sorry you feel that way my dear.

  • @CrumpKid2k how did you get into the subject of glee... isnt this a beatles song...?

  • @Beatlesbiggestfan2 glee did a cover of this song (:

  • @trillionairette yeah but the Beatles did it better :)

  • @RoseOfArc12 well its not like they are having freaking competition on who can sing it better. plus no one can come close to the Beatles... not even Glee, trullionairette.

plus do you even realize how much the paid just to sing ti on glee?

  • @CrumpKid2k since you're only eleven, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. and also that fact that you used the term 'gay' lightly, when you could've just said dumb, stupid, or ridiculous makes you look uneducated. you could offend a lot of gay people, and they definitely won't appreciate your use of that word in a negative context.

  • @CrumpKid2k how the hell does you being 11 make you an expert on that. I'm 12 but that doesn't make me an expert on all "popular" things. and gay isn't negative. even so the Beatles are always the best band.

  • @CrumpKid2k gay is a word that means homosexual or happy. last time i checked, a tv show was neither, since it is not a person. even though you are 11 doesnt mean you know everything. I dont mean to lecture you, only to make you aware that you hurt some peoples feelings by saying that. Please be more aware next time you want to insult something.

(i myself am 13 and even though i dislike the show, i dont go around insulting it. But learning is a part of growing up. sorry about your father)

  • it is alwrite a little i guess

  • i know right

  • I was seriously born in the wrong era.

  • I read recently that Paul wrote this about the black civil rights movement in the US. He imagined an archetypal poor black woman and wrote a poem about his hopes for her.

  • I once dreamed of being the black bird. Flying away from here. This song gives me hope that one day that I will leave this place.

  • Me and my friends agree that music isn't as good as it use to be :P

  • We are all truly blessed with their musical composition and phenomenal writing- you're a good kid, with a huge heart, and unbelievably great taste in music- time and your heart will bear that out. Just relax and enjoy the way your soul is moved and your "friends" can enjoy Lady Gaga and other "Flash in the pan" stuff. You're the cool one...trust me.

  • I appreciate classic bands, being The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd (and some Syd Barrett), and Nirvana (not really classic...)and I, too, am 14. But, through my many sittings on the computer and stereo, listening to their music, I have not until now exposed my age. Anyone can enjoy good music, regardless of their age. Well, I'm 14, and I say-shut up and listen to the music. True, out generation likes to listen to crap like Justin Beaver, we don't. But some people just ruin it for me.

  • My absolute favorite Beatles song. I cant put it into words why I love this song so much. The simplicity of it is beautiful and somewhere deep down I feel like a blackbird with broken wings and sunken eyes just waiting for my moment to arise, to be free.

  • you were always waiting to this moment to arrive ♫

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN, i looove so much this song D:

  • daz this is your song x

  • Great song !

  • I so want a blackbird now .

  • so fun to play this on guitar

  • everybody stop talkin shit...its called freedom of speech. this is just a great song

  • Shut up and enjoy such beautiful music. No matter what age, anyone can love good music. Weather it be modern pop music or good old rock n' roll. This song is amazing. Stop ranting about ages....geez.

  • hahaha everyone's shouting their ages out as if it really makes a difference

  • as a 15 year old girl i completly agree with both of you nothing could stop me from listening to good music like THE BEATLES!!!!!

  • There is a spiritual reason that this song makes people sad.. Look into what the inspiration for this song was. And just whom the "black bird" represents.

  • You were only waiting for this moment to arise. <3

  • @BeRad117

  • @selenademiluva , Your late Grandad had wonderful taste in music...I too plan on having this song played at my funeral. What a lovely song....

  • @selenademiluva i know how you must feel when my son was killed by a drunk driver-this was the first song that came to me. I don't know why because I didn't feel it was his time he was 20...but a power higher than me took him home: he was only waiting for this moment to arrive.

  • @SuzzyStohelit Im so sorry
