There's an easy way to get this achievement.

First, DO NOT download the free DLC. It contains a patch for this glitch and it won't work if you do.

Then play through the game on easy and DON'T die. It should be pretty simple, just to be sure save regularly.

When you get to the end of the game, save before going to the final battle. After you have decreased Atlas's health mostly, change difficulty to hard. Then kill him and you'll get both this one and the Seriously good at this achievements.

The only secret achievement I don't have is for going to callahans secret room.

I actually finished the game without ever using a Vita-chamber and then realized that the achievement was for bioshock 2 and I had read it off one of my friends achivements list.

I was kinda angry with myself then but the same night I got a 34-1 game on MW2 so I ended the day ahppy.

"warning! changing difficulty effects acheivments" GOOD! that's how it's done. I am almost done with them, but the only ones i don't have are historian (collect all audio diaries, and the one where you invent 100 items (i'm almost done.)

Reload last save. If you have patched your Bioshock you can toggle the "Disable Vita-Chambers" option to "On" so you won't mess anything up.

Another thing is to use the reload glitch with the crossbow. For those of you who don't know what you do is shoot with the crossbow then switch to any plasmid by pushing the left trigger then switch back to your gun. THis causes you to skip the reload action letting you shoot faster. so it should look like this. Shoot, plasmid, shoot, plasmid, etc and so on. switching between them and shooting helps you kill things alot faster with weapons that shoot slow like the grenade launcher & shotgun

killing the big daddys is the biggest pain in the ass

Just use hypnotize big daddy to get him to come with you then use the security bullseye to get his health low so u wont ever have to risk dying by him (since the security bots damage him. Also a good way to get money without him killing you). Then you just wait for the hypnotize big daddy plasmid to wear off and follow him till he finds a little sister. Now you just use your crossbow, decoy and electro bolt to finish him of easily. That's how i did it and it worked like a charm.
