Nice. You did a nice job. it is different from others i have seen, it can carry a person. It has smooth motion. Its interesting that my machine has a lot in common with yours, but I did not know of Theo Jansen, or Klann's mech, until after I built a test model. My machine is to crude, it moves jerky.
Is the design complicated and could you possibly draw out the design. This machine is the the most smooth operating and the COOLEST beast i have wittnessed. How much did this project run you.
@Rythymoxide2020 Thank you. I do have a complete 3D-model of this machine. Complicated? For a technician, no. For the average human, yes. Estimated cost was around € 300,-
@Razzer1356 Yes it is possible to turn. There is a differential between the left and right sets of legs. By braking the left set, it turns to your left. Simple but effective.
@Xshifter Very good thinking . The military often uses the term KISS " Keep It Simple Stupid " I'm sure where you are they say something like that too . Great job on your machine . Why is it called a loopmachine I think something is lost in translation ? For me to find them I have to search for Theo Jansen machines or strandbeests .
@Razzer1356 Thank you. "Loopmachine" is translated as "walking machine" which hopefully clarifies the title. This machine was an assignment for my study. Design and build took roughly 3 months with 7 people (not fulltime). We had to design the legs with the same method as Theo Jansen designs his machines. Total weight had to be below 60 kg, we managed to get 59 kg.
