he has social anxiety. did you start socializing him when he was 8 weeks old up to 1 year? You need to introduce him to new noises and people realy early. its not too late now. and when ever he gives a positive response in front of new things, give him a treat. Be sure not to force him to do things he dont like or he may get tramatized. just one inch at a time.

@dominick050 Hey, I'm 14 too and my chihuhua's like that too. The moment he hears the front door open he starts barking. And if strangers enter the house he'll continue barking while following them around. I'm trying to look for a solution too but then I realized that if ever someone tries to rob our house they won't be able to cos of him:)
