  • Youre doing the reps a little too fast.

  • Great workout Lee...you are the Man!

  • 0:50, guy behind doing with a bar. Good timing Lee!

  • Lee,

I see how when your working the rears you say its good for the upper back, my question is what are a few exercises I could do to strengthen the lower back? Thx so much

  • @juniorrickyd

Just do a search for my video called:

    "Good Lower Back Exercises"

  • this program really works good for me thanks leemhayward.. SUPERLIKE...

  • Steve-O! Lol

  • Dear lee hayward,

Do you have any shoulder rehab excercises? My shoulder are pretty bad

  • @pavy415

Yes, just search for my video called:

"Rotator Cuff Exercises For Rehabing Shoulder Injuries"

  • @leemhayward thank you lee i just saw a new excercise that i discovered thanks to you i will try it

  • @leemhayward

I have some trouble performing the shoulder press. When I do it on a straight seat, it feels uncomfortable: having trouble do to full range of motion, lower back is hurting. What should I do? Set it to a more incline position or stick with the shoulder press machine (which feels pretty good).

  • @MastahMich

Most people do shoulder presses with the seat angled slightly back. Not perfectly 90 degrees. This takes strain off the shoulder joint.

  • I dont think ur elbow has to go down below shoulder level.. why not go down till parallel to shoulder level? (I'm talking about DB delt press)

  • @RiseofBane

It's personal preference, I like to use a full range of motion for all of my exercises.

  • If steve o from jackass worked out, this guy would be him

  • what is the difference between this 1:26 & this 2:12 ??

  • @emil3331

The first is side lateral raises for the side deltoids. The second is front raises for the front deltoids.

  • trying to do this workout made me realize how weak I really am

  • love how at 1:04 you're talking about barbell pressers not being as good while they're doing that in the background ;)

  • what about dips?

  • @qIneTiCz

I consider dips more of a chest exercise, even through they will work the front delts as well.

  • Everytime I look at this guy I feel he should have a pony tail. Is it just me?

  • Good Work Man. Still Here!

  • is ok to do these workout with just 1 dumbell?

  • leemhayward for the rear deltoid people do standing reverse flys. but i never seem to see people show where they are lying on there side on the bench and then doing one arm at a time reverse flys. works very good when lying on your side. is there a reason why i dont see it much. i use it now and got it from arnolds bodybuilding book i find it easyer for your lower back also rather then standing bent over. may be you could do a video one time on it. do you like the exercise?

  • @mickey6192

Laying on a bench just makes it a stricter move. But either way it works the rear delts and upper back.

  • I do this routine with lighter weights due to a botched rotator cuff repair. I add a few other exercises that work the shoulders too. High reps help tone without the pain. I love doing the flys. Excellent vid.

  • i like you, lee. whenever i do a search and see your videos pop up, i click with confidence, knowing i'm getting some truth. thanks for that.

  • Excellent video, thank you.

  • Your the Man Lee!! Thanks for the great info!!!

  • Damn! Steve-O got Buff.

  • Im normally a pretty heavy lifter but i recently dislocated my shoulder. It was a very minor dislocation but i really want to work out my shoulder muscles to help support my joint. Would doing this with low weight be a good way to do that?

  • @Pwnalldanoob

Yes, reduce you weights and perform higher reps. Then you can gradually over time work your way back to lifting heavier. But listen to your body, if it hurts, stop. It's not worth risking serious injury.

  • Looks like steve-o

  • What was the music at the start of this vid anyone ?

  • @LawlessRazor

It's a royalty free music clip that I bought the rights to use in my videos.

  • @leemhayward I realise that forgot to mention.Which site is it from , if you don't mind sharing thanks.

  • @LawlessRazor

Honestly I can't remember the exact website because I bought this back several years ago. I just started google searching for royalty free music and looked through dozens of different websites until I found a couple tunes that I liked.

  • Plate raises for the win

  • This guy has shit form, he wont be able to walk when hes 60

  • @c1h2a3d4b5e6e7m8a9n

That's right, he won't be walking... He'll be running :-)

  • Awesome cheers for this :)

  • nice work bro.. thx for te tips

  • Why is it that when I do what he is doing between 0:40 and 1:40 I get this crazy pain first in my upper back between the neck and the shoulder and then when I stop exercising it spreads through the whole collar bone and stays for a few hours?

  • @olvanish

You may have pulled or strained a muscle in your traps and that's why it's hurting. Did this just happen recently or has it always been like this?

  • @leemhayward i didnt think you were supposed to go down that far in that workout? cant that badly damage your muscles?

  • @JayX181 which exercise?

  • @leemhayward It's been like this pretty much since I remember myself trying to work out side delts-- I'd say 10 years at least.

  • I love how you are talking about not doing military press with a barbell and the guy is doing it behind you.

  • @WWWtheHiggsBoson thats mostly chest, some shoulder

  • wait seated press works all the delts rear front and mid?

  • No shrugs?

  • @LloydyMufc7

If you want you can include shrugs in with this workout. I often do shrugs with my back workouts.

  • I have to say I really like your workout structure and the fact that you give information for a whole workout and not just 1-2 exercises like others...

+ You seem to be roidfree, so its not like you can show us anything you want because no matter what you would still grow!

    Good work! :)

  • Good and informative video, easy to understand, subbed and liked =)

  • @Pk2Die

Cool, glad you liked it :-)

  • thanks lee for sharing this vid m8 ,,,some nice ideas their bud ,,all the best thanks Mac

  • @1phatmaximus

    You're welcome :-)

  • buff stevio?

  • Great video, great help. Thx

  • 2:12

I use my girlfriend for this exercise. Works extremely well. Though she gets bitchy sometimes about wanting to switch positions. I just tell er I'm not done with my sets yet.

  • @rminitials hahahah

  • dude this is great i love how you dont just have high weight low reps

  • Steve-O haha

  • Lee, thanks so much for making these videos. Very informative. I find that a lot of it just confirms what I'm already doing which is in and of itself extremely helpful and I also find excellent new things to add in that I never thought of. I had never heard of the Bradford press until you just showed it in your video. I'm doing shoulders tonight and that's going to be a great finisher! Thanks a bunch!

  • hey man i just did this workout today and they burned like hell, i love the pain tho you get addicted to that dont you ha. do you do this much??? and how long do you tink i should do tis work out for like 5 weeks??? i started on the steds 6 weeks now decca and susaton its working wonders :)

  • Hey! is 2:18 training your front delts? Like the delts that my face is facing. Cause im quite skinny on my front delts :S please answer my question!

  • @JokoHaqa

Anytime you do a raise to the front of the body this will target the front head of the deltoid.

  • @leemhayward I'm sorry but you are doing the rear dumbbell flys wrong. You arms should be fully extended, not bent. You are bending them to do more weight but then you not really hitting the rear delts. It's about form, not quantity. Remeber that

  • You always provide great information with your workout videos! Thanks Lee! ;o)

  • Dumbellpresses work my front delts, correct?

  • @krodoxk

The dumbbell press is a good mass builder for the overall shoulders. Not just the front delts.

  • Good video but I don't believe this is your shoulder work out pal ha

  • Grip the bar properly pleaseeeeee

  • work the muscles HURRDURR!

  • Tank Heroooo!

  • this workout shoulder or FACE XD

  • Today is shoulder day. I'll try this and report back later. Thanks for the tips.

  • lee your a beast, all your videos have helped me a lot and im gonna be yoked like you one day!

  • @active411vm

Good stuff, glad to hear you enjoy my videos!

  • I am BIG FAN of your workout videos!! Thanks for the great information Lee!

  • @Proteincow

    You're welcome!

  • Where are you from? Your accent sounds like New England. I like the burn out last set, thanks for the information!

  • @bacardimark

I live in Newfoundland (East Coast Canada).

  • whats a work oot ?

  • Great videos man keep it up !

  • Is this work out all u need to do as a beginner for ur shoulders plus adding a few trap workouts

  • @butler622

I usually work traps with back day as exercises like shrugs are pulling moves that complement a back workout.

  • I's it Alrite to add shruggs in here an what's another shrugg exercise ???

  • @butler622

You can train traps with shoulders if you like. But I usually work traps with back day as exercises like shrugs are pulling moves that complement a back workout.

  • lol worked out perfect when you were saying the difference between barbell and dumbbell press and the guy in the background was doing the bar while you are doing dumbbells so we could see both ways at once

  • Hey lee what 5 shoulder workouts can I do at the gym

  • @warrenoo7

Why do you need 5 shoulder workouts? Just start with this one for now :-)

  • @leemhayward you look like steve-o

  • I'm pretty sure your form is all over the place in nearly every exercise you show. And you go way too fast doing your sets which brings momentum into play. Not being negative or a troll, just on observation. Shoulders need precision and focus or else you can do real damage to them.

  • Steve-O if he had concern for his health

  • What muscles does upright rowing hit? Delts & traps?

  • @Tehui1974

Yes, pretty much the entire upper back gets worked with up right rows.

  • @leemhayward if upright rows hits any part of your back then ive been doing something wrong for a long time

  • @westvale222

I didn't say any part of the back, I said the "upper back".

  • @leemhayward do lat raises hit traps aswell as side delts? i do delts monday and back tuesday. which day should i hit traps?

  • @AdR1aN43

They do work the traps to some degree, but you should include moves like shrugs to really give the traps a good workout. I usually do traps with my back workouts.

  • hey lee , is it okey to work out Monday , tuesday , and rest wendsday ,,,,,,,, you know work out 2 day and the third day for rest !!

  • @sameralzaben

    Yes, that's ok.

  • hello Mr lee , actually i want to tell you something , that i play body building since 2 month and my weight still the same , actually i don't take any protein or any thing else , but i see some improvement in my body ,,, by the way i'm (187 pound) (71.2 inch )

and thnx for your video it's really help us .. keep going bro,

  • u rock too much when u lift

  • THIS WILL NOW BE MY NEW ROUTINE WORKOUT FOR MY DELTS. THE QUESTION I HAVE IS DO U DO ALL 5 WORKOUTS (move from one workout directly to another) FOR 1 SET AND HOW MANY SECONDS REST?? IF SO, SHOULD START OFF HEAVY TO LIGHT OR LIGHT TO HEAVY??

  • @eYeSoFdAnGeR

Do 1-2 light warm up sets and then do 3 heavier working sets for each exercise. Keep the reps around 10-12 per set. And rest 1 minute between sets.

  • Guy in the back is placing excess strain on his shoulder joints...smh

  • nice thanks pal

  • He's from minnes-long ooooooooooo-sota.

  • Brunette Buffed Steve-O?!

  • Great workout!

  • quick question mate, I workout 5 days a week I do chest monday, arms tuesday ,back wednesday , shoulders thursday , and legs Friday. is this order fine, if not which order would you recommend thank-you.

  • @MrGetfit123

That order is fine, I usually do a similar type of training split myself.

  • great video my friend, you look in really good shape, ill give this workout ago tomorrow, thankyou

  • its awsome

  • This is a real top shoulder workout, very nice lee. Almost 1 million views on it now too

  • Damn Steve O started lifting lol

  • Nice

  • Thanks Lee, a great workout!

  • this might sound messed up!!! but ur huge and i wanted to know if you use steroids?

  • @IloveIce356

I get a kick out of the comments I get... Some people say I'm "huge", others say I'm too small... It's all personal opinion I guess. But to answer your question I'm a natural bodybuilder.

  • @leemhayward Lee You are, however, a straight ALPHA MALE BEASTTTT! Keep up the good work, sensei

  • db press standing is a far better exercise than sitting. Far to often people end up arched way to much on the bench practically doing incline press for chest. Do it standing and it will work your core as well as your shoulders, no chest.

  • @Rev0UK1 when I do it standing my shoulders hurt a lot why??

  • @scorpgul

It could be just the position you are in, not every exercise works for every body. So if a certain move hurts, find another alternative move to do instead. There are dozens of exercises you can do for shoulders, you don't have to stick to the ones that hurt.

  • Steve-O ?

  • @leemhayward this shoulder workout, does it train ur traps? or it just target the deltoid muscles

  • @sharpfraps

This is primarily the deltoids, if you want to train your traps you can add in some shrugs.

  • Is it okay to have consecutive rest days. Say I work out Monday-Friday and Saturday and Sunday are my rest days. Is that good? Or should the rest days be in between the workout days?

  • @CiScOxKiDx311

That's fine, you may even want to workout on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Rest on Wednesday and weekends. This is a good split that allows for maximum recovery and growth.

  • am i going to reach hypertrophy doing 4sets of 25reps hell no, thats for muscle endurance not size and muscle strength, doing that many reps will create slow twitch muscle fibres and this will kill of all your explosiveness fact.

  • @Sp5826 thats the first thing I thought too!!

  • what is first intro song?

  • Is it ok to work out everyday if you are working out different muscle groups? For example: I work out my shoulders and do push ups one day. Then I do pull ups and work out my legs.

  • @MrChegaleg

You still need rest days, even if you train different muscle groups on different days. I recommend working out 4 days per week at most. This will give your body time for rest, recovery, and growth.

  • Remeber to isolate your muscle when training, in this video he forget to isolate, when learning to isolate your muscle will grow, watch when he does the dumbell shoulder press he presses the weights until the arms are fully extended in that way the shoulders relaxes same when he lets the weights going down to hes chest, shoulders again relaxes, same thing when he does lateral raises, I used to do like this years ago then I learned to isolate muscles and wow big different (sorry about my grammer)

  • Video was a big help

  • i like the last Excercise. really feel the burn

  • i think he forgets to breathe during his reps....

  • Is this workout really effective? I'm not talking bad about the video i just want personal opinion

  • @Drew09Brees

The best thing to do is actually try it for yourself and then decide if you feel it's effective or not.

  • @leemhayward

Hey man, when doing dumbbell presses do you have the bench at exactly 90 degrees?

The one in my gym can only be placed at like 75-80 degrees because it's some shitty hydraulic system. Is that still ok or to much front delts?

  • @Irgendeinidiot

No, the bench is angled back slightly.

  • OMG you look like Steve O from Jackass!!...........you guys must be twins.....But anyway great workout mate.....definately gonna try it :)

  • @sp5286

i was just abougth to comment that, man steve O got buff lol!!

  • yea these are great

  • you look like that guy from Seventh Heaven.

Great Video! I learnt the Bent-Over rows from you :)

  • is it just me or he looks lil like stev-o

  • Good

  • For the side dumbbell lateral raises is it natural to feel your shoulder joint pop if you're not keeping a slight bend in your elbows? yeah i know dumb question but just curious

  • @Srpskeoci

Yes, having weird pops and cracks in the shoulders is quite common. As long as they don't hurt you'll be fine. I've got a shoulder "click" when I do certain exercises.

  • @Srpskeoci I used to have those joint pops alot but after 4 months it has stopped

  • My trainer told me that when you do side lateral raise, you dont have to bend in order to lift s the weight sideways. you are slightly bending cos you are doing this with heavy dumbell? my trainer told me, take light weight and dont bend, do the lateral raise straight. which is correct?

  • @ellankih

Both are right, if you use really light weight you can keep your arms straight, but if you want to lift heavier you need to bend the elbows slightly.

  • @leemhayward

Dear Lee, my both shoulders are not in straight. I mean one shoulder looks normal and other is not(seems little more high). Please tell me how to get it in a normal shape.

  • @vananr35

Chances are this is just your genetic bone structure. When I stand straight I've got one shoulder higher than the other as well. There is really nothing you can do about it.

  • @vananr35 urr his not a doctor

  • hey lee how long do you usually rest in between sets?

  • @jonnyftm92

I usually rest for 1 to 2 minutes between sets.

  • I did this today and my shoulders were dead.

  • you look like a healthy stronger version of stevo from jackass

  • Lee, do you have a video on calf training? Genetically mine are small but still would like some help. Tks!!!

  • @05suzukispeed

Yes, just go to my main channel page and search for "Calve Workouts".

  • @leemhayward Tks Bud!!!! Sorry for the misspelling!

  • do you consider upright rows?

  • @joneenee

Yeah, if you like you include up right rows in your shoulder workouts.

  • @leemhayward hey man if u dont workout your deltoids would uor arms look incomplete and deformed?cause ive sadly neglected that part and my arms look weird

  • @24graderthan23

Well I wouldn't say you'll look deformed unless you have some genetic deformations with your body. But you should work all muscle groups equally to build a balanced and proportioned physique.

  • Any opinions on military presses being added to this routine?

  • @jspesh

You could do barbell presses in place of dumbbell presses if you like. Either one will work fine.
