One thing this movie taught me: If I ever get lost in the woods, climb a damn tree on the highest hill that you can find and scout for civilization! You can see better when you are high above everthing. Those kids never did that in this movie. But then again if they had, they probably would have found their way out of the woods thus ruining the movie.

For anyone who thinks this film is terrible use a little imagination, I know when I watch Blair Witch it freaks me out. The director purposely keeps the audience in the unknown so we can come to our own conclusions and fears. Josh was my favorite character in BWP & his acting skills really surprised me in a positive way in his newest film, The Lie. Kudos to him and his blossoming career bitly .com/ul70sA

the woods are always spooky - in the beginning of the 20th century, my grandparents lived in a house on a road that was close to the woods

sometimes people arrived with intense fear of having seen lights, even people sitting on a table and sometimes they said they had to "carry the devil on their back" = some man who jumped on you just to scare

@fallengregory1 Because the actors weren't acting. I just read up on it. Apparently to make this movie, the film crew kinda threw these guys in the woods and told them to film shit and a lot of the movie is them ACTUALLY getting lost on the way to the next checkpoint and like the crew would basically just sneak around and actually scare the shit out of those kids.

this movie wasn't even close to a horror or scary, the only kinda scary part is at the last 30 seconds of the movie, and they didn't even explain what happened after. all they did was hear little noises, and the people camping started screaming. you couldn't see anything cause the camera was shaking all the time.

@ImMikeUrNot9 um no thanks.... i tried to imagine, but it was like every same ol' horror paranormal story. point is in MY OPINION, this movie wasted, what? about 2 hours of my life? yes. this movie was not scary at all. the second movie is MUCH better. gosh, everyone was like omg omg! you have to go see this movie, its the scariest of all time!.. so i went to go see it, and all i had to say, wtf is wrong with everyone. paranormal activity is much better. and btw i do have an awesome imagination

Bad actors in Paranormal Activity? No. They're just not shot through a million-dollar camera, spotlights from virtually every angle, and they act naturally, rather than according to some stiff script. People don't look/sound very charming when they're scared shitless, I bet Angelina Jolie would look fairly ugly if true fear engulfed her. As for it being a bad movie and not scary, well, that's individual opinions, nothing I can say about that, really.

Paranormal Activity is not scary at all, why ? Bad actors, bad story... Paranormal Activity reminds me this stupid videos on YouTube when people try to make you believe than they lives in an haunted house by making move doors with threads of fishing.
