  • THIS is AWESOME! i know that bad singing when i hear it! ITS THE COWARDLY LION!!!!! Bert Lahr!!! was his voice purposely shaky like that or did he have to sing that way in this AND Wizard of Oz???

  • if you cannot bend over without your ass showing the dress is too short

  • i like the doorman or what ever his job is

  • film antirazziali. pensateci gente

  • Her dresses were always so short, haha.

  • @daangmacy it was the style then for small children (girls) to have the short dresses with the bloomer type shorts..unlike today hers looks cute and professional..not trashy and degrading..

  • @daangmacy plus it was also just her thing and thats why it continued through her child-hood movies

  • The film is "Just Around The Corner". It was originally black & white, and this has been colorized.

This streamlined, shiny-floored set is supposed to be the basement of a New York apartment building. This particular area is a purported dog run. The 3 adults work in the building, and Shirley is disrupting their schedule, which is why they run off when the manager (Franklin Pangborn) catches them at the very end.

Bill Robinson's entry down the stairway is really great! I've always liked it.

  • At 00:50 or so are they supposed to be alternating or together? I have always wondered. They look like it got off yet it looks like it works too.

  • why is he singing like that? ahahhaaaa

  • 1938? dang they had an African American guy in this movie, good for them. Even if they had him play a doorman, still glad they had him in and he had a pretty big part to.

  • @jwrocks I believe the Black dancer is Bill Robinson, one of the greatest dancers ever.

  • @jwrocks His name is Bill Robinson AKA Mr Bojangles and he taught Shirley all her moves

  • what movie is this??

  • @lynxluver719 "Just Around The Corner"

  • @lynxluver719 just around the corner

  • This tune was in "The Little Princess" with Shirley Temple and Arthur Treacher!

  • @sarahluvsshirley No, I think I am right, it is when they are humming the song when she is looking for her Father in the Hospital. Derrr
