its funny i play GTA 4 on my integrated Graphics chip and i run it smoothly at the lowest settings i have a laptop so i have to cope with it i have enough hardware to get me to maximum settings on the graphics chip but i don't have enough video memory it only has 256mb but i still get around 30 FPS

Dual core athlon is at the same way like mine single core Celeron and i have 9500GT and 1gb ram. we have compareraly computers but without grafic card?. And i dont thing so. cause u need at least antialising 3x on your grafic card and i have never seen a integrated grafic card with antialising 3x. If you are telling true to us buy 9800GTX and you will see the difference. With my PC i can run it on 9fps - 23fps (airport,...)

Try: Commandline.txt Desactivate some process in your PC (ares, internet,etc) but don't desactivate Explorer.exe (windows explorer) or Monitor.exe (monitor) Try Patch 1.0.4.0 Go to Nvidia control panel, controlate configuration 3D and select the GTA IV and put, "Quality of textures" "High Performance" Desactivate Fraps. :D You get + fps how 25 fps. @Praylv Its a separate process not depended on the cpu. There is enough power on these chips to do almost everything at once. RAM does help because all memory is offloaded to RAM while there is power. So sound would work fine. Video would not. I ran on my late 2008 macbook Mass Effect 2 fine but my fan was at 6000 rpm even with 6gb of ram. This is why dedicated card is more important than the built in cpu gfx process.

now,i play this game with 9800 gtx, so i can play with full graphic option and high resolution.

for 8400 gs, still very good playable but i must turn off shadows.

A.get 2 gb of ram or more (i have 4 so i should be good for the next 10 years)

B.clock your CPu to 3ghz (should manage to do that fine unless you got the THE most basic am2 fan ever.

And C. get a a radeon 5000´s card, the 6000´s is coming before end of da year so some people want to get rid of their cards, or just buy a cheap 4890.
