Party politics just enforces the false left/right paradigm. All 3 Canadian parties are corrupt, because the whole system is rotten. We live in a constitutional monarchy, NOT a republic. We live in a system where an unelected has the power to halt our parliament. Isn't that a tyranny? Nor do we have control of our nation's currency. We have given that power to a private bank the Bank of Canada, and pay them interest for the honor. Why not print it ourselves instead of being in debt to IMF?
The only party that will protect the Canadian worker,increase our CPP pay-outs,increase our EI pay-outs,tax the rich/big companies on Bay street and big oil companies .....are the NDP! canadians have to wake up some day and STOP voting for Liberals and Conservatives just because thier parents did! Liberals and Conservatives have had many chances at the FEDERAL LEVEL since the trudeau era but blew it everytime! NDP all the way.
These attack ads all focus on the persons mistakes and errors, which they've undoubtedly learned from. This ad makes it seem like Harper is destroying Canada, and that Canada is in ruins when it is actually quite well here. I know that I'm happy with life and that I want Harper to stay PM, because I don't want anything to change. Ignatieff was in America until the election, now that he has a chance to be PM but before he was calling America HIS country. Obviously he doesn't care much for Canada.
@hidetheheart Ignatieff was in Canada serving the people of his riding by sitting in the house of commons as official leader of the opposition. You have been bamboozled by the recycled Conservative attack adds that make it seem that Mr Ignatieff only recently came back to Canada. I once went to the US, does that mean I can no longer run for office?
@hidetheheart 1) Ignatieff's been in Canada for many years. 2) By your logic, the entire Canadian Olympic hockey team isn't really Canadian. 3) Harper's directly attacked Canadian values to American conservatives, and you think HE cares for this country?
@serbin16m 50 + billion overdrawn when he started with 12 billion in the bank. Why don't we fire him as our PM so you can put him in charge of your personal finances? Seriously Harper has never succeeded in convincing the Canadian electorate that he deserves full control of the country. We deserve better.

Let us not forget Harper's order to his MP's to no longer meet the press after question period; he put that little nugget into effect after his government won their initial election which put them in power. That was just the tip of the iceberg for this government. I used to believe that you voted for the party not the man, now I just want this quasi-socialist dictator out!
Although I don't agree with attack ads this information had to be said. I can't believe that Harper thinks he can get away with this by keeping it as quiet as possible. What he is doing is going against democracy and should be stopped.
Forget the rest...just keep running this ad as much as you can....
Hopefully people who have not been keeping up with News (before the Election was called) will vote...
Also you can get an increased turn out if you told people they could mail in their ballots ( after registering with Elections Canada)....most people are too lazy to go to the polls.
In just a few short years the "Government of Harper" has done nothing but create a huge deficit that our children will still be paying for in years to come.
These "Harpercrites" have to go before our Health Care is ruined by their unfettered spending.
