  • My number 1 Favorite Layton music for now its just epic and when I saw the trailer I watched it like it's been one of those letters you get in video games and I was all like I HAVE TO GET THIS GAME AND SOLVE THE MYSTERY!

  • Qu'est ce que je peux adorer les musiques de Professeur Layton <3 Et les jeux !

Merci infiniment au créateur de cet univers qu'est Professeur Layton <3

  • The Three People Who Disliked This Ran Out Of Hint Coins.

  • @ZaPoncho But they hand out Hint Coins like candy in this game. It's virtually impossible to run out..

  • thankyou thankyou thankyou thankyou for the link in the description!!!!!! I've been searching for months trying to find a file ty =D This is such an amazing piece of music!

  • I LOVE THE MUSIC ITS SO SOOTHING AND FUN. I LOVE YOU CLIVE.sorry everyone

  • This makes me want to drop my clarinet and pick up a violin :3 I think it's rare to find game music that is so emotionally moving and... perfect. I'm proud to admit I was in tears when I first heard this xD currently on my sixth playing through.

  • please, someone pm me the piano tabs! thanxxx <33333

  • Best theme tune EVER!!!!

  • Instead of flipping a coin into a jukebox like Michael Jackson, you can now shoot out coins instead!

  • Amazing <3 I totally love it

  • DAMN Chuck Norris falls to his knees in epic-ness!

  • @victorchapin3 now... that is SOMETHING ;)

  • I'll look at violin players at a whole different way after I played this game.

  • talking about layton in brawl, he could use the slot machine gun as seen here in the 3rd game as a special!

  • we could "oo this part is good," or "i love this part," but truth be told, if you count all the parts that are good, that would be the whole song

    LAYTON FTW!

  • 3 people could not solve the puzzle of how epic this is.

  • EEEEEPPPPPIIIIIIICCCCC :3

  • 40 seconds in

oh man this is already epic

  • 0:20-1:00 = Musical orgasm <3

    1:40-2:12 = Musical orgasm <3

    2:55-3:30 = Musical orgasm <3

The whole thing = Masterpiece <3

  • just played through this game and it was hugely satisfying ^_^

It's so much fun and the puzzles keep being chalenging!

  • To anyone who's played The Unwound Future:

Is this actual track on the title screen/anywhere on the U.S version of the game?

(Just curious because I remember Diabolical Box didn't have the "Layton Kyouju to Akuma no Hako theme" on the title or anywhere i think)

  • @MUSEPLOT Yes this is also the theme for Unwound Future. It is however played near the end of the game :P

  • @Rashik30 thanks

  • @MUSEPLOT Anton vs Layton fight.

  • LAYTOOOON!!!

  • Only ten days and I'll get my Unwound future ;)...

  • Looks like three people didn't have sound on when watching this video.

  • I just finished the game!!! (September 27,2010. 10:15 pm) It was great. :)

  • @FieryV I agree but a sad ending it had :)

  • This music just fills me with feelings of awesome. It brings a tear to my eye.

  • i get eargasms listening to this.

  • lol, i never knew my comment would get that many thumbs up or replies to it. but i truly do believe that, i'm kinda sick of all the pop songs today i can't stop hearing, school, internet, radio... all that junk(in my opinion). i'd prefer rock, eminem... or classical like this cuz there's a point to listening to them(again, imo).

  • @RSPokemonFan498 but eminem IS junk on the radio......you're contradicting yourself

  • @XxMaplerzxX well that depends on your opinion, some might think rap is just junk, but for eminem, to me, its a little bit different. if you don't like him, then fine, your opinion. i find that he's ok to listen to

  • Such a sad piece of music... so, so fitting for the titular "unwound future". It takes a hard heart not to tear up at the ending... far more so than the first and second games combined or multiplied. And this game just stacks on the sadness, with the true tragedy surrounded by multiple concurrent events... a masterpiece ending, masterpiece music, and masterpiece game.

  • This game was a great way to end the series... or so said!

Cause if you beat it... there's a 'To be continued message...'

    WHICH MEANS A SEQUEELLLLLLLLLLL >:D

  • @AgentTeddybear - FLUTEGASM! :)

  • @AgentTeddybear

The first trilogy of games has ended - namely, the trilogy starring Layton, Luke, and Flora. The second trilogy is two games in in Japan, as a prequel story with a younger Luke first meeting Layton... a third trilogy could very well continue on from the ending of Unwound Future.

  • @browncoatkevin -- oh god, if the third trilogy is going to be a continuation from the end of unwound future... that would be glorious!! siigghh, hopefully so. :'D i love this series.

but do you ever think that there are only so many puzzles in the world? O_O; can they possibly run out of puzzles..?!

  • Such a magnificent song!

  • I love this series. The music in the games is a good enough reason to buy the games.

  • the game is coming out september 12 professor layton and the unwound future

  • Is it just me, or does Luke Triton have huge head in the curious village?

  • @RainbowZebra99 yeah i noticed that. future luke in the third game though sounds so manly.. its weird with current lukes high pitched unbtroken voice lol

  • @TheBrickspace Do you play the American games? In the English games, Luke actually sounds like a BOY! Which is a good thing, considering Luke Triton is a boy.

  • MUST.

    NOT.

    FAP.

  • @Meishali MUST.

    RESIST.

  • A sign of a good game is a good soundtrack.

    The Layton games win all.

  • hell yeah

  • What is the next game coming out in english called?

  • holy crap, that's good tune, ya?

well i'm pretty much sold on this series already by this song alone lol. time to pick up the first game ^_^

  • This music is absoloutley amazing!

  • If i´d have to describe this song, i´d say "Emotional", added with the trailer it appears, this song practically tells the whole story of the Layton Trilogy, how it started almost being boring, but then, many sudden plot twist started to come up, the intense parts of the song (I think) represent all the harsh and difficult moments of the series.

  • the english name is Proffessor Layton and the Unwound Future.

    tht was annucoed today

  • Wait a minute...

With a time machine, (spoilers) they can finally meet Baron Agustus Reinhold and also meet Sophia!

  • This game's english name (Professor Layton and the Unwound Future) is much worse than Japanese.

  • @ToelleUrLaputa Nah...unwound future is just as epic as the last time travel, though i must admit the japanese name siounds a bit more like "Decisive" and grand-finale like.

  • @ToelleUrLaputa But the UK name is The Lost Future...

I don't know why they have to change pretty much everything between the USA and the UK.

  • @icecreamer999

Given where the words "unwound future" show up in the USA version, the words "lost future" are possibly even more poignant and sad. America does like its metaphors and interesting names, that's a fact.

  • OMG, luke is soooo hot when he grows up. i wonder if he gets with flora . .

  • @SummerAngelGirl no cuz hes wit ME

  • Does anyone know the person who composes Professor Layton soundtracks? Because that person is a genius. Who says video game music can't be awesome?

  • @moipoi123 Tomohito Nishiura composed the music for the Layton games. Pretty cool, eh?

    Wikipedia FTW 8D

  • Lol got back in!!?!

  • Lol playing this stupid thing on my flute makes my throat turn dry... Btw this is Professorlaytonbuddy's new account!

  • im trying to play the stupid original theme on my violin but too many sluring eighth notes and other stuff thats confusing(im a begginer)

  • i NEVER have anything on the Japanese. this music is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it sounds awesome... when i go to heaven, this better be playing!

  • thise give me hope.

  • Aaahhhh... Trying to learn the original theme on violin, in some weird key where every single finger on the fingerboard in scrunched up against another finger... fun-ness. I hope to learn this too. SOOOO AWESOME. Seriously, a literal guess is that I've listened to this song at least 35 times, no lie. It. Never. Gets. Old.

  • @seemee63 i think that Professor Layton's theme is done on the viola, i was trying to learn it on my violin too but it sounds too high. so i think that it is done on the viola. i wish i could play this in my orchestra class! that would be awesome! i'm still trying to find a score for it!

  • sweetness....when is this game coming out in US

  • I am learning by ear to play this on my intrument!!!

  • I listen to this all. The. Fucking. Time.

  • The biggest reason I love the series is the fact that It's so mutch fun to crack these puzzles with someone. me and my girl friend do that all the time.

  • Have you not made any videos? Me neither.

  • @Sumer1998

Good for you! Violin is a good instrument!

  • Awesome. I play violin. This track makes me look bad! But I am a grade 1. I passed Autumn 2009. XD

  • @Luketritonforever well done im starting to learn to play the vioin

  • I can't describe how this music is awesome. It takes me on an adventure to another world. Every note gives me other emotions. That why I adore Professor Layton. This game gave me awesome travel to their world.

    ...

GIVE ME LAST TIME TRAVEL NAO.

  • really fantastic music,...its so unlike most other video games

  • little kids can't beat this puzzles. I'm woundering if the professor layton seirse is ment for teens and up

  • Ok, it's official, these games have the best soundtracks out of everything else I've heard.

  • i love this music and layton 4 theme!

i hope it comes out soon in the UK

  • Excuse me, but where could I find the sheet music for this? My music teacher needs new pieces for us to play for our next school concert, and when I showed him this video he absolutely loved it. He told me to let him know if I found the sheet music.

  • So many people describe videogames as simple games for kids, so, let me type something. THOSE WHO THINK THAT ARE STUPID!!!

Videogames are cool, a thing that I love from each videogame is the music, and this game proves that the videogames has MASTERPIECES!!!

Deal with it, you will not find this on MTV or any other channel music.

  • OMG I was really considering learning japanese really and I was on the verge of tears waiting!!!!!!!! It is my phone backround and computer desktop! When it comes out I am am the first in the doors I swear.

  • is it just me or does video games have sometimes the most epic music in life, just like this song.

  • not just you dude

  • @RSPokemonFan498 i totally agree with you

i see it the same way xD

  • @RSPokemonFan498

    Yep :D

  • @RSPokemonFan498 right

  • @RSPokemonFan498 Someone once said that Video Games are today's classical music

  • @RSPokemonFan498 And that's why I don't listen to the radio...

  • @RSPokemonFan498

    ffffyes

  • I would learn japanese to play this freakin game

  • japanesee games actually work on a regular US DS (i know a guy who has been to japan A LOT and he bought tons of japanese games and learned it to play the games)

  • I love the part between 0:21-0:32 see the trailer it is even more awseome

  • I love the part between 1:41 and 1:51

  • same here that's the best!

  • @bobbeta30 even the nothingness at the end? lol

  • Americans have nothing on Japanese when it comes to video games. :(

  • @BarrellyRoll Depends, on what type

    you're talking about.

  • @BarrellyRoll

that depends, the two counties have different styles of games. Japan currently couldn't make a game like Half Life 2 just like american RPG's are usually not as good as Japanese ones.

    Awesome song, awesome game 5/5!

  • @BarrellyRoll Actually these days it's mostly the other way around.

  • @BarrellyRoll This is so very true D:

  • I love this song I am ordering the disk all the way from japan to put it on my ipod.

  • it better be the start of next year... omg just listening to this makes me want to play it!

  • i LOVE the 2 piano pieces near the middle of the video!

  • REALEASE THIS NOW IN NORTH AMERICA AS WELL IS UK AND SPAIN!!!

Love the song, makes think that I'm in a cool adventure in London.

  • I'm not doing too well am I?

yeah I did mean prequels XD

  • "TIME MACHINE!"

  • TAIMU

    MASHIN DA!!

  • if u don't understand if because u haven't saw the trailer ^^

  • wait how long has this been released in japan?

  • since the 26th or so last year this was out in japan. I kind of want it now

  • best 3:32 minutes of my life

  • Hey I'm just curious

is this song a remix or does it actually play in-game?

  • Thank you for putting this up here! I absolutely love this theme.

  • Damn, so strong, so beautifull !

  • I think I like this best out of all the Layton themes so far. <3

  • Loving the jazzy piano solo in there!

  • for anyone whos played the japanese version does this game have the "future game sequal" at the end like how curious village showed layton and luke going on a trsain and how diabolical box showed them looking up at a clock i think?

  • This game is the last one.

  • Not necessarily. They're coming out with a prequel to the first game, Curious Village. I don't recall the name of the prequel, though.

  • professor layton and the specter's flute

set 3 years before curious village

  • In this trilogy yes.

There is also another trilogy coming set before The Curious Village.

  • no i recently found out about the new new game do you allready know about the spectors flute?

  • There are three games in this series, and then there will be three sequels is what I meant. Sorry I worded that awfully.

  • Yeah, it's last part in the timeline and last part of season 1. But they'll release 3 more for 2nd season

  • i was thinking that but i wouldn't think so

coz like if people are new to the series asin start when the last of the new series end they might play all the way from spectres flute and when they do it ll the way to last time travel they will think theres a newer game LOL

  • It's safe, no worries.

  • what does it say in jPnese

  • 0:00 - 4:52 is my favorite part ^^

  • Lol. That comment deserves a cookie.

  • I know, but they have tons of peeps working for em. v.v I don't know why it takes so long. ^^

  • Actually, you'd be suprised how small translation teams can be. They push out roughly one translation a year, which I think is pretty good. Plus, they're working on doing the Layton movie for the US.

  • More than that, some puzzles were completely changed or modified from countries to others (because of "play of words" or differences like in clock base unit (12-h or 24-h)), that goes for almost every Level-5 translation teams.

Puzzles are even harder to translate than regular games (because it's puzzles after all). It's better if it takes long to translate/adapt, no one would want to solve a mistranslated puzzle.

  • but wow the japanese are really pushing the series they allready released the last time travel and are releasing the spectors flute and the movie god i hate to wait this long....at least we got diabolical box recently

  • Must.. finish... game D8

  • :(((((((((((((( I wish nintendo would release the danm game into North America already!

  • They still gotta Translate, re voice act, and manufacture all the games.

  • OMG!!! I can't stop this violin orgasm!!! D:

    It sounds so awesome.

  • Me too. I wish they would just release the darned thing!

  • i want the american ve
