russians are tryin to get better planes then america so they can take down our freikin steatlh planes and other great american planes russians tryed to shoot down 1 Sr-71 and they did nt
@Johnracerx Yes true, They shoot over 1000 missles and everyone missed, Fucking people on here need to learn their shit, They obviously doesn't know up from down,
The most troublesome Soviet military fighter plane ever (perhaps surpassed only by Tu-22 bomber). Assebly was so poor, that after troubles with the first batch of planes in service, Airforce demanded to deliver the second one unassabled to skip disassebly stage.
In reality you are all wrong. Germany was always the smartest, captured german (and austrian) scientists from both the Russian and American army are the only reason the "space race" got anywhere, that technology eventually led to Intercontinental ballistic Missiles, and Jet propelled planes. The germans are the brains.
@acds413 More or less, for americans most...for russians they already had their own jet planes and rocket planes long before the WWII was over...they captured german technolgy for sure, but they also had their own...look for a video called "soviet secret planes of world war II" is from history channel I believe...
@acds413 America was the first people to invent a ICBM, Germans are reaally smart people, But the only thing we took from them was the jet plane, But we did advance it and was the first people to invent the Supersonic and Hypersonic Plane, So everybody who made a plane that goes over 770 Mph then they stole it from us,
Americans have always copied the British, for example they made their own version of Concorde, the Spitfire and (yes I know it's not British) this plane and it is very similar so similar in fact that I started to think this film was American not Russian! Well let's be truefull, the americans aren't that great, in the war they 'helped' us, yeah I'm sure you did after 2 years and then we were pulled in to the pacific even the Japanese weren't even our enemies at that time!! Anyway, it's the russi
Anyone else wonder what top secret 'jets' are out there today which haven't been shown public? surely the jets made know days are alot more advanced and structured than they were 40 years ago
I saw there is similar plane at Edwards Air Base using google map accidently... Plz Check out guys... It seems that it is not a TomCat jet... It was black in colour...
This has to be one of the most beautiful fighter jet ever imo. Russian planes are macho and powerfull, not like most american "girly" looking planes, except for the F-14, F-4 and SR-71. Nice video buy the way the music fits perfectly with the featured video.
What do you think, why EU USA RUSSIA fight against each other, if we could unite all together it would be such beautiful country, image EU RUSSIA USA CANADA
@dariussaulenas lol...wars are not fought to be won or lost... its the terrorism of the rich !!! These rich nations remain rich even after wars... but the surrounding poor nations have to start everything literally from scratch every time western rich nations beat the shit out of them... rich people never lose the war ... even when they surrender, they have enough money to feed their people, but the poor countries suffer the result of war for centuries waiting for another war to destroy it
the only reason why US had all advances before the rest of the world in military such as the 1st in many things is because they control the international money supply of USD. A single fiat transaction which they print but the whole world use it. thus, they bought foreign brains whom they havent got themselves. while others like Russians produce many of these brains whom they unfortunately couldnt afford to pay.
Mig-23 were very good aircraft, although looking crude, they kicked better looking F-16 out of the sky verry well with Syria I think (I might be mistaken).
The Soviets were always smarter than the Yanks. Even crude designed planes like the MiG 25 provided the USSR with an advantage that America could not challenge.
Then came along the MiG 29 which was the worlds most superior dog fighter for 20 years. Or perhaps the SU-27 and its other varients.
America stole British Jet engine designs too, and the yanks also stole the technology that allowed them to break the sound barrier. Britain was sharing info with the US, but the Pentagon cut them off and made the flight before the British pilot who really found out how the break the sound barrier could make his flight.
Unlike Britain and the USSR, America never really accomplished anything on its own. It was largely foreign scientists and alot of Nazis captured after the war who did it.
russia had been working on their advanced engines before the brits were...they made their own engines..and remodeled a brit engine for a mig-15...but the rest they used soviet based engines.
I think the MiG-23 was successful because it was affordable and built in huge numbers in the Soviet Union. The pilots visablity was very poor but 5 MiG-23's against 1 F16 or 1 F-15 is bound to win.
Uhh...EVERY Soviet fighter was a "top secret" fighter until the Soviet government allowed it to be introduced to the eyes of the west, usually at some air show somewhere.
yea I agree with you NicolazDamian 100 percent , actually Mig 23 was more supersonic jet plane , dedicated for nuclear bombs and long distance flight , it's really huge plane if compare with another migs versions .
I am a lover of the MIG series, but I must say that the MIG 23, despite it's advance aperance, was probably of the worst migs built. Good Migs were: Mig 15, Mig 17, Mig 21, Mig 25 and Mig 29. The others: 23, 27, and 31 were not that good.
i agree completely apart from the mig-31 foxhound-official figures suggest that it would take just SIX to patrol the entire uk coastline, due to thier range and payload capabilities. Sure, its not the most manouverable aircraft, but its radar/missile package is a world beater, and its damn fast!
@dariussaulenas Most experienced maybe (nobody terrorize world that much as USA). Maybe they has best adverts (hollywood 20:0 ratio is nothing special). But in war games with Indian AF they got their asses kicked really hardly (mostly Su-30MKI vs F15s F16s and F/A 18s). Even great USAF pilots admitted after that wargame that they got pwned (there were some excuses that they could't used BVR tactics and missiles). Anyway armies more rely on drones, so in future is dark... give a 6year old gun..
The Soviets found out the same thing that the U.S. did with the F-111. A jet designed to be all things, for all missions, will suck at all of them. Neither was a good bomber, fighter, or interceptor, and the swing-wing was a maintenance nightmare. The F-111 almost went through its entire service life without having an official nickname. "Aardvark" was a half-hearted last-minute effort to name the F-111 before retiring it.
the engine wasnt snatched-it was bought. Frank Whittle invented the jet engine, then the British goverment ignored it for years, to the point where we ended up having to play catch up to countries that we had sold the tech to (Typical British beurocratic cock-up, just like the BAC TSR-2). Im pretty convinced it was the mig-15 that had the british engine( Rolls-Royce Nene, i think), but i have been wrong before!!
Yes that was a RR engine. The Brits played the Russians in a game of pool. The bet was if the Russians won, they could take the engine back to Stalin. The Russians won, and being as the Brits are such admirable gents...Yeap, they actually gave the Soviets an RR engine.
The Brits were even dumb enough to allow the Soviets take a tour of the RR jet engine factory itself. On the tour, the designers wore special shoes that allowed them to pick up particles from machining. They took the particles back to the USSR and analyzed them to determine which materials and alloys were used in constructing the RR engine. I imagine Truman was furious when he heard about the pool game. Stalin believed the Brits were idiot fools. That's because they really were idiot fools.
@dariussaulenas it was sold to the russians and its not the same engine the MIG 21 used the russians made much improvements but still it was from british origin.
