I'm watching every episode of American Idol so far! I think this year will be interesting, but you're right, Taylor Hicks winning did kind of destroy the glow. I kinda like having Kara as a fourth judge, and she's honest, but not as brutally honest as Simon (who's my favorite, by the way). Paula's too nice, and Randy's lost in his own other world.
I kinda liked Joanna Pacitti, but then again, she had already released an album that flopped pre-Idol.
hahaha, the only judge who gives valid criticisms is Simon. Love that guy! Yes, he's brutally honest at times, but at least he's telling the truth. Randy and Paula are useless, I totally agree with you, as is the new judge, IMO. Ryan is the worst of all . . . I wish someone would seriously tell him to his face that he is NOT FUNNY b/c you're right, he thinks he is so clever and comical.

Why doesn't American Idol have older contestants (people over 30)? Actually, most of the finalists seem to be 20 or younger. I think this is really unfortunate. The unknown stars out there are not all kids.

I have sort of been over American Idol lately, and it does seem like it's ever since Hicks won, but is anybody else like, absolutely in LOVE with Cody Sheldon? And who else thinks Bikini girl won't last through the first two rounds of Hollywood? If she doesn't go on, like, NAKED, she doesn't stand a chance against a LOT of people already. And did you see the look on Ryan's face after she like, tried to EAT him?! He's like, SOMEBODY GET ME SOME SOAP!!

I had predicted that American Idol would die out by Season 3...and yet it's still going on. But I think I was partially right since there are only a handful of people we still hear about (ie. American Idol? I only watch the auditions in the beginning of the season. I'm generally not too interested once it goes to Hollywood unless Paula seems consistantly medicated enough to be funny. However, once it loses its comedic appeal I get distracted from the show completely for the rest of the season.

I was looking forward to it a bit. I watched about half, then left for about twenty minutes, then came back to finish it up. It definitely isn't as exciting as the first seasons, but it's better than the other TV on at that time.
I love AI, and I'm definitely watching this season! As far as Season 5 goes, I just pretend the whole Taylor thing didn't happen and Daughtry actually won ;)
Some of my faves have been Kelly of course, Daughtry, both Davids (although I was a bigger DC than Effie fan), Melinda Doolitle (she was so much better than Blake), Carrie and Syesha (she should so be on Broadway, it suits her style!)
I haven't watched American Idol in a long time. Several seasons in fact. I think when Jordin won, I heard her song on the radio a week or so later and I was like "who'd Jordin Sparks?" LOL. But I actually like her now, and David Archuleta is awesome too.

I'm over American Idol. I've been over it, ever since the first season stopped!
But I'm glad the majority of tv watchers are still enjoying it.

i loved the first episode. I've always seen music credits for Kara on Britney, Pussycat Dolls, etc. CDs, it was nice to see her personality. She rocked.

I do that all the time. There have been a bunch of times that I wanted to make a video response to you but the videos I made were just so horrible...I'd never let anyone else see them!
I had predicted that American Idol would die out by Season 3...and yet it's still going on. But I think I was partially right since there are only a handful of people we still hear about (ie. Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood). I actually thought Taylor Swift was an AI winner...oops. :) Keep rockin, Buck!

American Idol? I only watch the auditions in the beginning of the season. I'm generally not too interested once it goes to Hollywood unless Paula seems consistantly medicated enough to be funny. However, once it loses its comedic appeal I get distracted from the show completely for the rest of the season.

i liked the 16 yearold cute girl wiht the brown heir she was really talented. also the skinny guy toward the end who had the really dry humor who made me laugh had a suprisingly good voice... also the blind guy was great... i hope people look past the fact that he is impaired :]

only 2 people stood out to me,the rock girl at the start and the final audition. I like the 4th judge,I was afraid she would be too much like paula,but she really isn't. I think idol is back on the rise.

I was looking forward to it a bit. I watched about half, then left for about twenty minutes, then came back to finish it up. It definitely isn't as exciting as the first seasons, but it's better than the other TV on at that time.

I love AI, and I'm definitely watching this season! As far as Season 5 goes, I just pretend the whole Taylor thing didn't happen and Daughtry actually won ;)
Some of my faves have been Kelly of course, Daughtry, both Davids (although I was a bigger DC than Effie fan), Melinda Doolitle (she was so much better than Blake), Carrie and Syesha (she should so be on Broadway, it suits her style!)

I haven't watched American Idol in a long time. Several seasons in fact. I think when Jordin won, I heard her song on the radio a week or so later and I was like "who'd Jordin Sparks?" LOL. But I actually like her now, and David Archuleta is awesome too.
