  • .... can move forward with LIFE! Food should not have to be such a horrific daily chore. And while some might naively say they wish they had your problem... I honestly could imagine how trapped you must feel by all the food you have to consume. Wishing you the best possible outcome!! Keep us updated ok?!

  • @faithkp That is for sure. I am glad I have the support on here because not too many people sympathize with my situation. I don't look sick (just very pale) and I am not emaciated, but all it would take would be 2-3 months. Thanks so much, and I will let everyone know what happens.

  • Good to hear from you! I really hope your revision happens soon so you c

  • glad to see you made the update. i discussed this with Craig at length last night after your FB message to me. I know it is tough for you, but going ahead with the revision seems to be your best bet. Eating "the a normal wls peep" is what you desired from the start and hopefully this will get you there. Crazy fire madness, thank goodness you are ok and the apartment did not burn down. loved your photos from the diving trip and i know you will find your way there. MORE UPDATES, ok? xoxo

  • @bandedwendy Totally Wendy, it almost feels like I have been on a two year long binge. It's definitely time to stop. I will update when I get any news, going to try to follow up later today with my doctor's office. I am hoping to still be able to swing all the research stuff I had planned for next semester, but I feel like I am in limbo right now.

  • I miss you Carrie!! Its good to see an update from you. I have been wondering where u been and I am soooo sorry all of this is going on but im glad your FINALLY going to get this revision. I remember it going back to when we hung out in Vegas. Its insane indeed. Im glad you made it out of that fire ok. You were very lucky. Come on from time to time and do updates more often... Your much missed here in the community

  • @skymoon1982 I miss you too Melanie!!! I wish I had better news to post after being MIA for so long. But, hopefully I will get all of this all sorted out soon enough and be able to get on with life. I am going to try to do updates a bit more often, I think it was like 6 months since the last one! Big hugs to you!

  • Wow....sending prayers up. So glad u made out ok fe fire. Who will b doing ur revision since Dr Rutledge is out country? I have decided on VSG instead of MGB surgery nov 22nd! I really wish u good health. Keep it head up!

  • @MsLadyKanKan Me too, it was really scary. There is a surgeon here who is head of the bariatric program in the only surgical center here in Toronto. I asked my Gastroenterologist who the best was, and that was who he told me. Getting in to see him might be another hurdle. Dr.R said he could be available to talk with a surgeon here if I needed to do it in Canada, and Dr.P is also there if for some reason I can't reach Dr.R. The very best of luck to you on your surgery, I know you will do great!

  • Wow sweetie me and rose are just stunned with what happen to you Thank God you are all Right Love YOU love connie and rose <3 <3

  • @QuiltingConnieB Thanks so much you guys. It has been a really crazy fall semester for me, I still can hardly believe it. Sending love to both of you!

  • btw... i totally love the pics you posted in fb about your trips and the videos you've been doing here too.. totally amazing!

  • Carey, I am so sorry that you are having to deal with so much. I honestly do not know what to say, or think... except that I am sorry and that I hope that you feel better soon.

  • @MissJanieHere Thanks so much. It's been tough, that's for sure. I am glad I have support here. Thanks also about the videos, I am sure I will put up more here eventually, I have some pretty neat video clips from my trip, just need to pull it all together when I have a chance. :)

  • Wow you have had a rough time! The fire sounds horrid, how did it start? I am glad you are not disfigured! What is the revision to? What type of WLS? I hope it helps you because I know how hard it has been for you!

  • @AntoniaTakeTwo It started when I was cooking, I had oil for frying in a wok that just completely went up in flames. The revision will pretty much be a custom thing, but if I am correct then it will be something of a mini RNY. I will surely be better than how things are now, that's for sure.

  • Carey- what you are dealing with is incomprehensible-- insane-- I don't know HOW you have stood it all this time. I am so glad the Dr. is getting on top of this revision procedure...please keep us informed- you live an amazing adventure- that I wish I could do! please get the health squared away so you can blaze trails forever more! <3 sally

  • @cabernetqueen Sally I don't know either. I mean isn't that food diary crazy, and that's EVERYDAY. I guess whatever happens now happens, but it is very much a relief to feel I do not have to run that marathon of food everyday. I am hoping I will still be able to work my travel plans around this, but I guess I will see once I hear from them. Thanks so much for your support.
