  • Exactly what do you plan on doing with the tens of thousands of men and woman that are going to lose their jobs when you dumba**es shut down the coal mines??? I REALLY WANT TO TURN THE POWER OFF TO ALL YOU PEOPLE THAT BITCH ABOUT COAL MINING POISONING PEOPLE... I HAVE LIVED HERE ALL MY 39 YEARS AND IM FINE..... YOU TREE HUGGERS ARE ALL FREAKING IDIOTS!!!!!

  • Go Judy!

  • It seems that she and the miners are opposite sides of the same coin- WIND ENERGY is the way to go.... For all of the miners---in ALL of out states....For your health, and for your children.....

  • What a total dumbass. If she lives on the Coal River and does not like the society then leave. These people she stands against are miners, the community is a mining community. She is a broken record with the "blasting and poisoning" remarks. She has nothing to offer as an alternate to the minig, I assume the valley should just suffer the results of shutting down the industry. She needs to get a real life, move on from the valley and let the people go back to living thier mining lives.

  • it seems to me that anyone with a functioning brain in their head would understand that blowing up mountains is not good, and its not a sustainable way to get energy. It makes absolutely no sense (other than just plain ignorance) to me that we continue to blow up these holy mountains, which were once worshipped by the native americans and still has a spiritual connection to us, while we have plenty of other options to get clean sustainable energy. Not to mention MTR actually takes jobs away...

  • End the rape and pillage of our God -given Mountains.

  • now this woman judy bigmouth bonds is a prime example of someone with too much time on her hands. these people just dont get it ,THE FIGHT HAS JUST BEGUN,people have grown sick and tired of these extremest treehuggers and thier constant complaining.yet they all go home and do what TURN ON THIER COAL GENERATED POWER. again you people need a le ader with some guts. one that will shut off his or her power COMPLETLY,and so the world how it will work without coal ,guarantee youll be back.

  • nobody here gives a shit about your has been stars and ignorant scientist. this is our families and lives we are fighting for and fight we will, you think you and your few so called big name people and handfull of tree hugging extremest will get this done. GOOD LUCK. i just got back from a coal and mtr rally here in ky,THOUSANDS were there, and we are sick of drains on society like you and your cronies bitching about whats worked for years, this is us.dont like it,get the hell out.

  • Maybe this woman could support all the people who's jobs she helps to take. Of course the miners are mad...What other options do they have in West Virginia for jobs that pay what they need to pay their bills? They have to fight for their jobs if it comes down to it. As for the water...I would drink straight from any stream coming off that mountain, into the community...and I would not only live...but it wont hurt me a bit.

  • The troopers are on the miners side because the miners earn a living.

  • Judy, Judy, Judy. Wouldn't you get angry if someone was trying to take away the only means of supporting your family? These people could be booger pickers and would still get pissed if it was the only way to survive! Don't make the WV people look so bad. Find me a state where people wouldn't act like this. Family first!

  • "Family first!"

You mean to say "my family first"... because you're not considering the families that are suffering because of Massey's irresponsible mining practices.

  • What families are suffering??? The ones that their fathers and grandfathers sit around all day with nothing to do because they are on government assistance??? An idle mind comes up with crazy stuff... BTW... What part of WV are YOU from????

  • fucktardmountain...

Not everyone who is against mountain rape for profit mining is on welfare. Most are scientists doctors and professionals.

    "What families are suffering???"

How about the hundreds of families who filed a class action suit against Massey because their wells were poisoned. How about 93% of Prenter who have had gallbladder disease? How about those with cancer because they've been drinking that shit?

  • You said it, I didn't... WELFARE...

The "hundreds" of families??? Please explain a lil more or the location of these poisoned wells.. And is it a proven fact that 93% of prenter have had gallbladder disease? And what are you accusing Massey of doing now, bottling their so called "toxic water" and sending it to other countries. Cancer is a problem EVERYWHERE not just in the Coal River Valley.

Again, you cry about facts... LETS SEE SOME OF YOUR FACTS!

PS.. nice of you to comment my profile!

  • Concerns over health issues were discussed, with residents explaining to Stollings and Unger the high number of kidney problems,

gallbladder disease, skin irritations, growths and cancer.

One resident, Billy Arden, from Sandlick said that within a five hundred foot radius five people had been diagnosed with brain tumors. Three of which had died.

    tinyurl[dot]com/n24x9f

How many people do you know with brain cancer in your neighborhood?

  • Don't know if you all noticed or not, but this is the Coal River Valley...

You say Mr. Arden is from Sandlick... Hmm funny, that is about 15-20 minutes up the road from Coal River... I live in the Coal River Valley, I know NO ONE that has brain cancer in my neighborhood, but I gaurantee you one thing, I could go to NYC or San Francisco, and I could find someone with Brain Cancer!!! Maybe I could tell them about CRMW and you all could give them legal advice on sueing Massey Energy!!!

  • youre wasting your time trying to talk to zappaman.he has all the anwsers,a true pearl of wisdom anything you need to know about mtr, coal or cancer.he has the anwser facts,he has none, this is the perfect example of a yellow check drawing pillar of the community.what he really needs is a damn job.pisses me off that we keep these people up with our hard work. maybe we should protest keeping cheeseaters up.

  • heh heh, believe me Phil, this bastard won't get the best of me!!! I am just tired of their bottomless pit of lies and bullshit, it's awful. What ever became of that legislation where they were gonna start drug testing public assistance recipients? Looks like a good one to start on here!

  • I am actually for this proposal. I am anti-drugs. I am also not on welfare. You people can assert your generalizations over and over but it doesn't make them true. Do you think NASA scientist James Hansen is on drugs or welfare? How about Daryl Hanna... Your stereotypes only show what closed-minded bigots you people are, and it definitely does nothing for your argument.

In fact as more and more people learn about what is happening to this state, the anti-MTR movement will only gain stream.

  • Well, something we agree on....

As for NASA Scientist James Hansen and actress Darryl Hannah, yes neither do get government assistance, but I'm not gonna assume that neither does drugs...

Go to an anti-coal rally in southern WV!! Almost all of the attending people that ARE from here rely on some type of government assistance!!!

  • Did they tell you that? Or are you making generalizations?

As a West Virginian I know about being stereotyped, and I know they are false assumptions most of the time.

  • Notice I said that the people from "here."

Not that many from around here actually attend these rallies, but most of the ones from the Coal River Valley that do attend are known to recieve some type of government benefit. Small town type of setting, everyone knows everyone. Everyone knows everyone business and what they do to survive, including whether they work or recieve social secutiry, welfare, etc.

  • So this assumption that all people who are speaking out against MTR collect welfare and eat government cheese is based on people that you know, a small percentage of people that you know that attended protests at the Coal River.

This is a nationwide movement. Scientists, doctors, professionals, retired folks, politicians and people of various ilk feel strongly about MTR.

  • Yeah, supposedly MTR is a problem in southern WV and eastern KY. People from NY, CA, CO, etc., which have no clue what exactly is going on, are coming in here protesting. They are telling people around the US that coal is polluting our state, they are blasting our homes off the foundation, they are running us out and lies like that.... I live right below a surface mine, I have no problem with them, my well water is fine!
