The only real advantage is the lifespan of the battery. Lithium Ion batteries degrade in performance really fast. The ferrous based batteries BYD makes have a much better lifespan, they will actually still be performing well when the car is 5 years old. Think about how well your Lithium Ion laptop battery performs after 5 years... mine's in the bin.

I'd invest in this company, if I was a billionaire. Modern, innovative. Arrive home, plug in, later a power cut, problem, no, house takes power from vehicle to power the house until power comes back on, then returns to charge mode.
