DUMB i’ve been in Pageant from the age of 5to11 and i dont want attention all the time. I’m not depressed when i don't get what i want or don't have all eyes on me I don’t think I’m the prettiest girl in the world and My mom wasn’t girly at all. I was in pageants because i liked to express myself to others and it also helped me make friends that was like me Now I’m never nervous, and I can speak in front of a crowd I have self confidence and that doesn’t mean I think I’m better then every one!

(my other child has no interest in pageants and would rather play sports). I'm going to be polite and not link your pageant participation to your embarrassing language and critical thinking skills.

@franluvshorses101 ya i know!They are fat and ugly!I'm in pageants (my first is coming up)but my mom dosn't look that way,but the moms are usualy ugly.The only reason thier kids are in them is cause they couldn't do it when they were young!

People wonder why there are so many problems with society. They fail to see the damage(spray tan fail),or choose to overlook, what happens to these children later in life due to parents who are so obsessed with their own shortfalls. Let kids be kids and decide when they are older if they want to become a plastic human copy of barbie for themselves.

possibly overweight and insecure mothers trying to live through their children, know that regardless of how good your parenting skills may be based on what is shown in these videos any normal parents, any normal person would consider you to be a very bad parent. Its a sickness and hopefully for the health and sanity of yourself, your family, and most impotantly your children you wake out of this bad dream and stop trying to turn your child that you gave birth to into a piece of plastic.

these pageants are why a lot of girls have confidence issues. they think they have to rely on lots and lots of makeup and a shitty load of hair products for them to look "beautiful". beauty is self-confidence and the comfort in your own skin, and these pageants make kids look like plastic barbie dolls. whoever support this are dipshits.

@zoeylaababy Except, of course, that a child who wants to be in a pageant isn't going to have to be forced into participation. Also, what a child wants isn't always the best way to gauge an activity's appropriateness; kids like to eat candy for breakfast, play instead of doing homework, and so on--should mom and dad let them do it because that's what the kid wants to do? I'm going to be polite and not link your pageant participation to your embarrassing language and critical thinking skills.
