BUll is scored on a scale of 1-50 with 1 being lowest and 50 being perfect. Cowboy is scored on the same scale. The combined total is the score for the ride. If you have a great rider and mediocre bull, score will reflect it, as it will if you have a great rider and a great bull. Better the athletes involved, the better the score. The score only counts if the rider stays on board for a full 8 seconds.

I use to ride in rodeos in the bullriding section. My dads brother got killed by it in a rodeo back in 70's,he got stepp'd on both front legs on chest. He walked back behind the chutes n calapsed,D.O.A to hospital.
