@edmund67d, Just saying, the KM4A1 doesn't have the RIS rails. If you ever decide to ditch the stock handguard, you won't be able to find the stock KWA RIS that fits the gun. However you may have luck with the requesting one from the pro shop as they do parts requests. That's why I chose the RIS version. :D
I was running a custom TM M16A2 and an Echo 1 P90...but I handed them over to the shop to get em fixed...I have no clue how to fix them just only the simple stuff lol

The airsoft version uses a proprietary 2gx gearbox. The real advantage of KWA is their customer support. Nothing else. Their GBBs, however, are quite good. I honestly wished this utilized a standard gearbox, when clients come to me it's a pain in my ass.

No advanced airsoft player would consider it. A G&P will easily outperform a KWA, for $40 less. KWAs can't be upgraded, so unless one wants an expensive to repair rifle with bad externals and mediocre internals it's not a very good option. The ONLY big advantage to kwa aegs is customer support. They are NOT LiPo ready. a stock JG can last as long, if not longer, on a lipo. KWAs don't have a MOSFET(will be continued)

hey im thinking of picking up one of these for a semi auto dmr rifle. out of the box could this hit 175-200ft fairly accurately? i got a kjw m700 bolt action (great btw) but i want something with the semi auto capability.

@Roxillua Tis not illegal. It's only illegal to transport it across state lines without the tip, to sell it, and to have it in public, but i'm pretty sure thats illegal with the tip anyways lol.
a few words. i think i may have that same rifle bout it from a feild i go to but it was painted over. i bought a knife and a propane adaptor both are great but the knife casing was banged up and peice broken off wasnt to happy. your website also gave my computer a viruse but i was able to get it fixed. i have orederd more things from you for christmas gifts and hoping they are in good condition. i hate being disapointed and i dont want to trash you and your site. keep the posts up
just a little fyi, 410fps is more than enough for most feilds, besides alot wont allow anything close to 500, if you ask me 410 is good enough to reach out and touch someone, but not quite so powerful that it cant be used in closer combat.
@Apoctank top of the line! hardly!! tm is a far better m16 try it i bet it outranges and has better accuracy than the kwa i also suspect that ics + ares m16's are better than kwa..
@the2tuff what are you on? i know fps definitely doesnt equal range but kwa has at least 100 fps more than TM, plus they have a decent barrel in, so KWA can outrange a TM. plus TM has mediocre external build quality, and im pretty sure ARES only makes an M4A1. ICS is good too
@Apoctank i disagree strongly i have both and although you are correct on the fps the kwa does have roughly 100 more than the tm it still makes no difference to range or accuracy. the kwa rounds would get to the target faster but i would bet my entire arsanal that if you bought one of each and left them totaly stock out the box the tm would definatly be more accurate at long range and might even have a greater range.. try it.
@the2tuff well, madbull barrels are only $30! and maybe you are talking about an old KWA, because as far as the gearbox is concerned, the 2GX is phenomenal! the hopup is good too

hmmm... it looks like the FPS with the 2GX gearbox is much more controlled than the old models. i have the old model and it chronoed between 440 and 450 fps unupgraded. waaaaaaaaaaay to high for an AEG lol.

@MishimaZero yes, all 2010 and 2009 KWA models have the 2GX gearbox. Well at least from my experience because I have 5 KWA's and all of them have the 2GX gearbox

i run a KWA KM4 SR10 (with downgraded FPS for the field i play at) with a G&P 30mm red/green dot scope, magpul xtm rail covers, and a G&P QD front grip. I also use a marui MEU GBB pistol with VFC metal body.
Running a JG M16A4 enhanced, with full metal hop up assembly, 2gx bucking, scs concave nub and a 6.01 inner barrel for my modifications. sight is a Leapers Tactedge 7" red/green dot. shooting 410 fps.
Running the Kwa sr12, with a Yukon Night Vision scope, 190 mm mock silencer, UTG bipod, G&P tactical folding grip, 2500 rd cmag, Systema custom 6.01 diam 695mm, systema magnum motor, Systema bore up jet nozzle, and a king arms m130 , shooting about 425 w/.28, i got a bullseye on a 10 inch target at 195'

and the hopup is totall crap
i use a 1600 mah lipo battery and and the hi cap that comes with the gun
im sending it back to get fixed
i believe that kwa is one of the best but this was just flat out disapointing!

So if its illegal to remove the orange tip of an airsoft gun why does everyone do it? Is there like some loop hole that you can remove it without getting in trouble?

@Roxillua Tis not illegal. It's only illegal to transport it across state lines without the tip, to sell it, and to have it in public, but i'm pretty sure thats illegal with the tip anyways lol.

a few words. i think i may have that same rifle bout it from a feild i go to but it was painted over. i bought a knife and a propane adaptor both are great but the knife casing was banged up and peice broken off wasnt to happy. your website also gave my computer a viruse but i was able to get it fixed. i have orederd more things from you for christmas gifts and hoping they are in good condition. i hate being disapointed and i dont want to trash you and your site. keep the posts up

just a little fyi, 410fps is more than enough for most feilds, besides alot wont allow anything close to 500, if you ask me 410 is good enough to reach out and touch someone, but not quite so powerful that it cant be used in closer combat.

@the2tuff what are you on? i know fps definitely doesnt equal range but kwa has at least 100 fps more than TM, plus they have a decent barrel in, so KWA can outrange a TM. plus TM has mediocre external build quality, and im pretty sure ARES only makes an M4A1. ICS is good too

@Apoctank i disagree strongly i have both and although you are correct on the fps the kwa does have roughly 100 more than the tm it still makes no difference to range or accuracy. the kwa rounds would get to the target faster but i would bet my entire arsanal that if you bought one of each and left them totaly stock out the box the tm would definatly be more accurate at long range and might even have a greater range.. try it.

@the2tuff well, madbull barrels are only $30! and maybe you are talking about an old KWA, because as far as the gearbox is concerned, the 2GX is phenomenal! the hopup is good too

@camy365 It depends on a couple of things. The M4 will be lighter, but will lack a little in accuracy. The M16 is more accurate, but its heavier.

hmmm... it looks like the FPS with the 2GX gearbox is much more controlled than the old models. i have the old model and it chronoed between 440 and 450 fps unupgraded. waaaaaaaaaaay to high for an AEG lol.

i run a KWA KM4 SR10 (with downgraded FPS for the field i play at) with a G&P 30mm red/green dot scope, magpul xtm rail covers, and a G&P QD front grip. I also use a marui MEU GBB pistol with VFC metal body.
