It is impossible to sing this song without death growls, because this song IS WRITTEN for death growls. It would be really, really hillarious if someone ever tries to follow the guitar riffs with clean vocals.

Note that implementing death growls gives more freedom in songwriting, as composing non-singable-with-clean-vocals melodies becomes a possible option.

No death growls? No Hedon.

No death growls? No Dark Tranquillity.

Period.

Like I don't understand what's so great about singing clean; singing with literally distortion is the shit but it's fucking hard to make sense while doing so... If anyone doesn't believe me, go try. A leeeeeeeeeeeeeetle bit hard unless you've got the ability.

it all depends on the song though. i mean there are alot of great songs that would sound terrible with screaming our death growls. to me, music isnt about how hard something is to do, its how good it sounds. if something sounds good, but is ridiculously easy to play, then it should still get played.

sigh skydancer came out at 93, yes but anders friden wasn't the one to sing in it. he only recorded some demos when the band had a different name. he was asked if it was him who recorded skydancer and he responded negative. and, i m so sorry, but i 've been into melodic death metal for more than 6 years now, and dark tranquillity, along with my favourite, in flames, are the pioneers, bands which i have therefore studied alot. so dont get me wrong, just go get your facts straight. bb
