Whew..I finally was able to render the animation. Is there a way to control the speed? The clip finishes after about 00:00:01, is there a way to slow down the clip so it lasts longer..perhaps 2-3 seconds long?

@ZliisHy23 Hi, Did you ever figure out the camera view? I'm stuck here as well using my macbook. I used "View - Cameras - Set Active Object As Camera", but the camera is still at an angle, instead of facing down directly at the object (in this case, the Frchildc" object).

also, you probably know already, but I found the fonts in the "Library/Fonts" instead of "System/Library/Fonts" folder.

@tubernery Blender is completely stand alone software. You don't need after effects or anything else! It's open source and completely free and completely legal for all to download and use. They have it available for Pc, Mac, Linux, and even freeBSD. Helpful video! I do have a question though:

In the compositor, how can you make it put the blur on the text only? Whenever I render the video with the stars in the background, the stars are blurred too, which I do not want.

I haven't played with it, but could you have the Z stretch to a negative value, then have it go completely constant on the Z axis, stretching in reverse so that the end tails off?

So, can you do this with an imported image instead of making text in Blender?

@cyrax037 yes and no. You wouldn't be able to do this with, say an image mapped to a plane. However, if you were to use either curve or box modeling to create a 3D version of this imported image, then absolutely YES you could do this! If your having trouble with curve or box modeling, check out my channel and the "back to the basics" series. That should help get you started. Happy Blending!

I got the images to adjust by messing with the rgb curves node... by placing an extra point low and to the right It seemed to filter out the bluring of the stars I was getting...

Even still are there other ways to composite backgrounds and forgrounds together using blender in it's composite nodes?

Great tutorial... I have Ben using blender for about a year and never have used the Text editor... Nor have I had much chance to play with Nodes... and certainly have not done anything with compositing...

Question... the Blur is bluring the star Field I know their must be a way to separate the Background from the Forground when doing compositing effects... right?

Some how setting the Starfield separation to 2.0 completely locks up my computer...

and I have a very new and updated system... i7 quadcore with 8gig memory...

however my setting of about 16.0 (on Separation) 'looks' like about like the same amount of stars your getting in the video... I'm using Blender 5.56a by the way...

Hello again. I figured out how to import fonts but now came across a different problem. I got all the way to the end of your tutorial on how to create the Superman Credits and recreated it exactly as you said in the tutorial. I rendered the entire scene, but you never mentioned how to exit out of the Node Editor window. So I can't play back what I created. Please help me on this...

Hello, I'm trying to follow your tutorial fro Blender on how to change the font but having problems. Once I create my text and hit TAB, I go to the right side menu and hit the "F" button and then go down to the font section and click on the file as you describe, but I get no other fonts to come up where yours do. I only have the one default font. Can yo utell me how to import other fonts.

@muvo123 After selecting a Text Object, press TAB to go into edit mode. This should allow you to change your text. WARNING: Once you press ALT C and covert your text to a curve you lose the ability to change the text. Just a heads up. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

@hogietheutuber unfortunately you need a numberpad...i tried to do it on my macbook pro and it just changed the current layer. just pick up a cheap logitech keyboard on amazon for like $20 bucks and it should work fine :)
