If you're talking about that FPSBanana page, the date is probably from the fact that you can't place a "to be discovered" label. 2015 is the latest date you can use on that site, which is a crazy date but tips people off that the release date is unknown.
Hopefully this mod pulls though, seems like the trend is that many ambitious mods simply whither away from development fatigue or other long term problems.

Looks good, I sadly won't download it though, mainly because of the lack of source games I have.
Also, on a side note, please, re do the animations for the rifles, we don't hold our god damn rife from the hip, we never did, never will.
Take this from a person who knows a lot about guns and have used them from time to time.
Besides that, this looks like a pretty good mod, you would have me download if I could run the thing(No CSS)

it's the source engine but if you open the task maneger it says hl2.exe but thats the source engine.
