I'm new using Rainmeter. I have Rocketdock and it works perfectly but this application seems better. I installed it and the only thing that doesn't work are the buttons ): I just don't know why but I tried to open Mozilla or Itunes and it couldn't open. I need some help please.

yea you should be good, its not as much of a ram hog as it is a cpu hog, and even then, it doesnt take up much space at all. i mean, my processor literally jumps up 1%, if that. I set this up on my dad's computer and he runs xp with 512mb of ram on a singlecore processor and i dont get a call complaining about it so i know it doesnt take down his speed any.

its actually a song i made. i was working on it but couldnt really think of how i wanted it to end, so i just turned it into a 10 minute loop to use for all my vids.

About rainmeter icon,moving in one side ,than use save position first and draggable off .that is so now you can play games whitout have the icon problem .i hope it help.enjoy

im using an nvidia 9600 gt 1gb. It handles everything i throw at it. (havnt thrown crisis at it yet haha) i also have 8gbs of ram and a intel 2.33ghz quadcore. so i mean, when i record my cpus are running around 60ish percent while all this is happening, but i realized that all my life i had slow ass computers. i finally bought a nice one and im gonna use it to its full potential damnit haha.

not sure if there are packages out there that have all the things already set up, that i could just more around. not needing to do much else than that, or not.

unless there is a certain area of most all the text files that would have these fields that you need to edit usually being in the same spots. this may be beyond me.

i would be glad to use something that takes up less resources. although i am sure it can do more than this,sys stats,dates, reminders,and weather would b good enough for me.

yea, there are these kinda "sets" of configs u can download, might wanna search deviant art for them. and if u send me the txt file in a PM, i can tell u where to put ur weather code. they are mostly in the same spot but none are exactly the same.

chances are i havent been looking long enough...

however, even after going through and enabling the simple things like calendar, clock(although i would rather it be digital one, which i imagine i need to dl somewhere), weather, and all the system stats(besides memory maybe, which i didnt see yet).... i still couldnt even really make enough sense of the txt files to find were to edit in things like a yahoo weather code. so it still says london.

if u pause the video at 1:53 u can see a list of all the configs i had running when i made this video. so they were all from either the enigma configs (included with rainmeter) or hud vision (deviant art) i cant really tell u which one it is because i have cpu, ram, drive, and networks running on both sides of my monitors, one with enigma and one with hud vision. (hud vision is on the right side.)

you would have to learn a little bit of rainmeters coding, it is literally possible to do anything you can think to put on your desktop, but you have to know the right coding. (refer to "interface v0.2" on deviantart, he pretty much got rid of his OS altogether)

thats actually a completly different program called rocketdock, free download, amazing amazing incredible program.

no, ridiculously simple.  run the program and u get a dock on ur desktop, drag icons from ur desktop to the dock to put them on, drag them off to delete the icons. click "dock settings" on the dock to choose more options including "keep on bottom" to keep rocketdock under all other windows, if you would like i can make a tutorial for ya ;]

hmmm, this is the first question i have been asked on youtube that i dont actually have an answer for. the only thing i can really suggest is to make sure u downloaded the right bitrate for your computer, and even if you did, do a quick reinstall.

thx for your response..I tried reinstalling and I still don't get a menu..I then tried installing an older version 0.14 I think, this works..I do get a menu but Enigma needs atleast 1.0 to work *sigh*

Nice Video! i stared using rainmeter today and im really confused on some things but most of the things you have covered i have figured out though. Anyway i was wondering about rss feeds. i dont really know how to get those set up. also the google gmail one on enigma. Please help if you can!

sorry it took so long to respond (i must've accidentally deleted the email saying i got a comment.) but make sure ur gmail or rss config is running, right click it, then hit Skin Menu>Edit Skin. then there should be a spot (instructions inside the notepad document that opens) to put in the information to your gmail account as well as the rss feed

oh dude its cool! but thanks im going to try that right now. i thought i did something like that but ill try again. i also have rocketdock but i cant get the same dock you have. i think you have the stack dock right? well whatever it is its cool but i cant seem to get running. i was also wondering about weather. i know you have to get a weather code or something from yahoo but how?

for the weather, go to yahoo and simply type in weather codes. it should bring up a list of all the codes available.  i do infact have rocketdock, i kinda lost faith in stardock products after a computer crash or 2.....8. and i downloaded a theme for it called "glass curve" then i downloaded a dark icons pack. after that i used the rocketdock applet stacks as you have noticed. and thats about all there is to rocketdock.

u download the stacklets app, put it in the configs folder, restart rocketdock, right click rocket dock, then add item, then stack dock should be an option, then you just make a folder with all your shortcuts that you want for that icon in them. and select it when prompted by rocketdock
