Unfortunately you're mistaken; predator-prey relationships always find a natural equilibrium. 'Getting into' rivers is what is meant to happen; and so is eating carp. If that means there river is not OVER stocked with fish so that it becomes easier to sport-fish, thats just tough I'm afraid. These animals DO eat fish, to survive.
