@supermasterchief117 First of all, the museum has to mail the fossil to you. Then after you take out the fossil from the envelope, get out your shovel and bury the fossil. Then you dig it back up and it will say the actual name of the fossil.

@fiona29054 For the Gamecube, and Nintendo Wii, there are 4 controller sockets to plug into... However, Animal Crossing is a single player game as only one character can be active at one time. It's 1-4 players alternating which means you take turns. I'm not sure about wifi or online connectivity for the DS or Wii versions though.

Also, for the memory card slots, you can travel from one town to another with the train if you have a second memory card plugged into slot 2 and back to your own. Again, there can only be one player at a time on screen so you must alternate between your friends. I'm not certain about how many players can connect to a town on DS or Wii...

2) One's already in the works for their new 3DS system coming out, with, from the looks of the screenshots they've released, quite a few changes to it from the previous games, so you won't have to worry about it being the same as the previous installments in the series.

@brooklyn560 Were you watching TV in 2002 / enough of it, because these commercials were around on some channels in 2002, likely nickolodean, disney channel and cartoon network more likely. I recall seeing some of them I think on cartoon network back then.

I remember the first four commercials, they were a bit misleading about the game. This is better suited for Animal Crossing Wild World for the DS. But I still love and prefer this game over the two.

I dumped so many hours of my life in this game and to this day I don't know why, I found it fun at the time but I have no idea why it was actually fun. Hell even now once a year or so I get this weird thought in my head that maybe I should go check on my town. I'm sure the memory card is somewhere under a pile of cast off controllers and video adapters.

Also I find it funny the supposedly "hard working" person rips on the guy who fishes, fishing was the only effective way to make money.

Ahh... I didn't start playing Animal Crossing Gamecube until February 2007, but it is truly the best. I just wish I started playing it WAY before then. But it's good to look back when Nintendo had a better sense of humor, and cared more about their fans, and games. But now, it looks like they're starting to get back to that. Can't wait for Animal Crossing 3DS, even though no Animal Crossing title shall ever best this one.

I'd wish Nintendo would take this concept further and turn it into an actual live action series. BTW, they'll have to have furry costumes made up for Tom Nook, Mabel and Sable, Saharah the Carpet Camel, Katrina the Fortunetelling Cat, and maybe in a later episode, Shampoodle.
