it's legal as long as you don't make contact with the puck above the crossbar - that would make it highsticking.

The toe looks more fancy but I have to agree it's easier to do on the heel.

God its so frustrating... i just cant get it down and im bruising my bottom hand with the amount of pressure and the rotation of the stick. Any ideas??

If you are bruising your bottom hand, you are pressing too hard. You need to press down firmly, but you don't need to crush the puck into the ground. As the video says, the key is to press the edge of the puck so it tilts up into the blade of the stick (so when to pull the puck back it will flip over and onto the blade). It's important to note that your bottom hand is LOOSE, the stick will twirl without your bottom hand twisting... actually virtually all of stickhandling is done with the tophand

I have the forehand down now pretty good. I wasn't bringing it around in a circle good and flipping it up. But... now the backhand has me stumped.
