How have you found the same Jack White sound ? Please tell me your gear. I saw in the video a Big Muff, the whammy, the boss tuner, but i don't know your amp and the other boss pedal.
i think its time someone got their own sound? im pretty sure all those pedals i just saw, where exactly the same as jack white. dont get me wrong im a HUGE jack white fan. the white stripes are myfavorite band. but a two piece, the same pedals, promoting white stripes songs instead of your own? come on man. plus your drummer must want to have fun. instead of basic meg white drumming skills. you guys are good. real good. but youre the white stripes. just not guy and girl and dont wear red&white.
@jbcooljb I disagree man....if you have a 3 piece or a 4 piece you would also be copying a multitude of bands...he had a different guitar also and how much fun is it to play the stripes songs....if these guys were a white stripes cover band I would be the first one to go and see them :) Jack White copied a lot of old styles and platers...especially the flat duo jets :) now if jack hadn't copied another 2 piece band, where would we all be without the stripes :)
@stevoe1000 i know. but im talking about his sound. everything is THE SAME as jack. not the guitar. but the sound. the pedals ya know? same settings on them and everything. sure jack copied the flat duo jets. but jack had his own sound. not someones EXACT sound. and these guys arent a coverband. theyve got albums. and i love that theyre going for it.but if he finds a sound thats his own. thatd be perfect. a new band called little hurricane is a two piece. silvertone amp. guy guitarist, girl drum
@jbcooljb mer, vintage mics, blues influenced, theyre great. but they have their own sound ya know? which is why theyre making it somewhere. everyones heard the white stripes. (not saying thats a bad thing since tws are my favorite band) but people want something new! not the same thing over&over again.
@jbcooljb I know what you mean man, but I still say that if these guys were playing in my local bar and sounded exactly like the white stripes, I would be very happy with that, I don't need someone's artistic interpretation, I just want to hear this "live" and I would be more than happy :)
@jbcooljb Thanks for your input. If you listen to our records or download them on iTunes, I think you'll find we really do have our own distinct sound, despite the similar pedal board set up. The sound and style is quite different than Jack's! Of course we're going to try and replicate his sound for covering his songs....this video was shot while making a tribute album for The White Stripes.
