  • Shame on the nasty speech below. How inappropriate. This is holy music. Let's have some respect for higher aspiration, no matter what dirt the world may contain. Lovely bhava here. Praises to Mahathi.

  • @bharadhiyar007 .. stop sasying nonsense will you?

  • @lakshsez1

    r u mahathi's lesbian partner ??? dirty bitch.

  • Oh sad, I wanted to give a +1 to schopenhauersring's comment, but accidently clicked -1 and youtube is not letting me change it :( :(

So, Scho's comment score is actually +2 (not zero)

  • Sad to see TNS's student on the wrong stage. It looks like the aim of many students of carnatic music has become to win trivial prizes on TV Channel shows and aspire for a shortcut to get popular with the masses.

While Mahathi has sung the song pretty decently, it's an inappropriate use of the talent she has.

Good job, but more importantly, sad show (no, not the TV show, but the girl's choice of the stage).

Plus yes, Sindhubhairavi is VERY forgiving. It's difficult to sing it wrong!

  • They say "If you have anything negative to say, don't say it". The opinion that carnatically trained people shouldn't get on any other stage to showcase their talents is a sad one ! People who are trained classically shouldn't sing for movies or other TV channels ? Why ? where's the logic behind that ? Just an oldfashioned and conservative opinion that helps no one. Sorry to be brutally honest, but that's my opinion.

  • "Sorry to be brutally honest, but that's my opinion. "

.... and you're perfectly entitled to have one, which may be diametrically opposite to mine. If conservative people like me don't exist, how can people like you be classified liberal? :)

  • LoL..okay ! There again we're on the opposite sides of the draw. Again, I don't have the need to be classified "liberal". My opinion stems from personal interactions with classical musicians whose entry into the film music world were made a really hard journey by a whole bunch of critics, the effects of which are being faced even today. I think it's a completely personal choice really. As long as you don't disrespect your classical roots, I think it's perfectly fine.

  • Again, I don't have the need to be classified "liberal"

--- just like I didn't have the need to be classified "conservative" :)

Yes, it's finally a personal choice, just like a personal opinion. I respect your opinion, just as I would respect anybody's, (and just as she would respect her classical roots), however "personally" opining that there's a better stage for her. Not that my opinion even matters, because finally for her, it's her choice that does.

  • just like I didn't have the need to be classified "conservative"

What I meant was that, I didn't oppose your view just because I thought it was conservative. I was just standing up against something that I thought didn't make sense. And from what you see, there's a lot of people that have the same opinion as you do. Like you say, we're all entitled to our own opinions and I respect the fact. Just that in this case, I happen to disagree with it.

  • shez ma fav classicl singr now!! awsome sissy

  • To her credit, she got a lot of it right! Sindhu Bhairavi is more forgiving than other ragams :)

  • mediocre...isn't it?
