It wasn't one, there were three, and they had official reporters id, this is how the managed to be on the ceremony. And there were french, not tibetians, so no one noticed them. Also it was the first time than anyone dared to stop the holy ceremony, so it was something no one could even predict. The Tibetians protested before the ceremony but didn't even dare to so something lie that because they are religious and respectful in such things, and that honors them.

Tibetans have been identified as Chinese along with other races in China for thousands of years. Billions of dollars flow into Tibet every year from government's pockets to make Tibet a better place. Now SOME tibetans say " NO! I dun wanna be Chinese anymore! I dun give a damm shit to my ancestors who were pround of being a Chinese! " Yes, they are gross, but those ignorant hecklers from the rest of world are even worse imo

It wasn't one, there were three, and they had official reporters id, this is how the managed to be on the ceremony. And there were french, not tibetians, so no one noticed them. Also it was the first time than anyone dared to stop the holy ceremony, so it was something no one could even predict. The Tibetians protested before the ceremony but didn't even dare to so something lie that because they are religious and respectful in such things, and that honors them.

...somehow i always knew protesters would choose this specific time to start their demonstrations but in all honesty, it a very cheap ploy.I am neither for nor against any cause but the Olympic games are a *celebration* of the sport and unity of the world. China has faults but looking back at where the country was just a decade ago, its pretty clear the progress that has been made. No country in this world is untainted and without sin.

The investment given to Tibet my friend is for the benefit of the Han Chinese who own all the businesses there and have turned the Tibetans into a slave underclass. Its all for the han chinese who now believe that they are everything and everyone to the whole world. That's why Liu Qi, the speaker above, spoke in chinese at the olympic torch lighting, even if most of the world can't understand chinese. Its all for the Chinese first. At least, my country has given opportunities to all races.

Not to rain on your parade as I agree with the spirit of your response but the most widely accepted figure is about 150,000. Not to minimize the caliber of the tragedy, but a wrong number can screw up a good arguement.

Though I obviously had nothing to do with organizing the protests in Greece, I apologize sincerely for any discomfort to the Greek people. You represent what is good such as the ideals of democracy and the Olympics. China today is a corrupt, brutal and money-grubbing regime which represents the exact opposite of the Greek ideals. We just wish to warn the Greek's that the Chinese can't represent your ideals and are using you. As an American, I still invite protests in San Francisco

My dear friend the three Frenchmen that insulted the ritual were Reporters Without Borders ith an official ID for the ceremony. Even Tibetians didn't dare to do such an insulting act because they are religious and respectful, but RWB did. Lets not be hypocrites. For the same reasons as China, then the flame should also not going in almost any other country (including USA in the past) because some countries have also done bad things. So we have to decide what we want for all, not only China.

Unfortunately, China has the worlds largest army and China doesn't care about Human Rights
So, it is impossible that Tibet will ever be free, unless foreign governments take action now. No one really cares about Tibet, foreigners only support China because if there is an independence movement in Tibet, China will win, and those countries who went against China in support of Tibet will have to face hostility towards the people's republic.

What is holy and sacred for me you can not destroy. Demonstrate in your own countries if dare. We had one of the hardest dictatures in Greece. We threw them down by organizing our people not by attacking peaceful sacred ceremonies. You remind me Al Quahida activists Peace on world.

This is the so-called Western countries for the protection of human rights -- the efforts made by the violent crime, deceive the world and split other country. The 3.14 incident, the Chinese military did not have assault any protesters. Western media used Nepal army assault Tibetans and lamas videos and pictures, claimed that it was China's military atrocities. They deceive the ignorant masses in the world. And provoke China's internal ethnic conflicts.

As ab American, I would welcome a huge protest when the Olympic torch passes through San Francisco. Its freedom of speech, which we have in America, something that can't be said for China. The shame is that the IOC allowed a brutal and greedy regime with blood on its hands to hijack the pure Olympic ideal to promote China's political ends. Its like allowing the torch of the Nazi Berlin Olympics to run through the whole world.

Great job!! That was like the scene in V for Vendetta when the dictatorial gov't spokesman was speaking on TV and V was appearing all around him. We must stop the evil spread of the Chinese model and especially Chinese corruption where they bribe world leaders and everyone else to accept abuse of human rights and unfair Chinese business practices, and they even bribe to win government contracts. Just surf the internet to see proof of all of these Chinese abuses all over the world.
