  • Does anyone know who writes/performs the music in this video?

  • this guy's much less annoying that that bloke who looks like he's crying and smirking at the same time.

  • Love the music at 6.20. Does anyone know what it is?

  • really? "there are 50,000 civilizations in the universe" then 2 mins later "those telescopes are capable of monitoring and surveying the galaxy for every radio signal" .. yet they found nothing .. dont u see a bit of a contradiction ?

  • @y571 50,000 civilizations but there are over 5,000 trillion star :) Dude we can only see some thousands ,,,,,,its liek searching a needle in an ocean

  • @DevillsNAngells yaaa but for over 60 years.. and we still havnt found a singleee sign .. wouldnt u rather have those millions spent somewhere else ?

  • @y571 but wait why??banker r geeting billions of doller where as some world most educated n top brilliants minds and scientistic n researcher r geettting so less....

  • @DevillsNAngells well that obviously indicates a problem in the government .. when a country.. like the usa.. which has a gross income of 14 trillion dollars .. still has to deal with poverty .. well the governments messing up

  • @DevillsNAngells

    But wait what's a doller ?

  • On balance, I think most likely we will never know if there is life elsewhere in the Universe. And chances are that we are alone, at least as an intelligent species. But we could well be the only life in the Universe as a whole. The chain of events that made life possible on Earth is so vastly improbable it's almost certain it happened just once.

  • @istvanklein are you retarded its improbable to happen again ?? do you know how big the universe is ?!? were like a spec of dust in the universe of course there life out there. if we can find life all over our world and solar system then its not unlikely that life is out there in other planets

  • i'm, in an almost dogmatic way, sure there is life on other planets.

Now how far it's evolved, that's a whole different question

  • 10,000 years is WAY too generous an estimation for the lifetime of a communicating civilization. We are a "communicating civilization" but have had radio technology for about a century with the tech being advanced enough for interstellar communication for about HALF a century and look how badly we have screwed up our planet in just that time? No way we will make it anywhere near 10,000 years. What makes him thing the aliens will do so much better than us?

  • 50,000 civilizations per year?

  • 13:24. Aliens receive our signals "like a g6" :DD

  • @CarnardP yeah it is all possible bt even if some aliens are in the cavemen era out there surely some other aliens are further advanced bt I just wonder why they haven't viisted yet, I guess only time will tell, but its very confusing atm.

  • In my opinion aliens should be so common place and shud have explored the Earth along time ago that we take them 4 granted as much as the moon & sun existing, so there must be a good reason:

    A. they formed a super civilization and decolonized the universe 2 explore others

    B. worm hole travel is impossible

    C. Life is digital and this is just another digital life and to make it more exciting we made life more like a movie

D they won't visit us for political or religious purposes

    E life is a dream

  • Here is an idea of just how vast the universe is. More than half the planets in our solar system would not be detectable even around the enarest star so we would not know of a Alpha Cenaturi Earth. The stars are so far apart that the three enarest stars appear as a single point unaided, The very nearest star other than the sun may not even be visible to the naked eye. There are many times more perhaps orders of magnetude more stars in the known universe than are grains of sand on the Earth.

  • you can alter this equation to tell us the chances that we will get laid :D

  • If you put the likelyhood of an earthlike world at .5 instead of 2 per system and reduce the amount of time a civilization can transmit for(lets face it, we've only been transmitting for like 50 years. 10 000 seems a huge stretch)

You end up with around 80 civilizations not 50 000 that can communicate with us(and thats assuming they use radio which is a stretch too). Thats pretty shitty odds for 200 billion stars. In otherwords its pretty much impossible.

  • @lovelydiva06 You need to be careful when you ask for 'proof'. And you may want to look up what a Theory actually is. Nothing in science is ever proven. That is a strength of science. It allows for change when new information is presented. Science is not dogmatic. And a Theory is not a guess or 'nothing without proof'. Perhaps you are meaning evidence when you say proof. The two are very different.

  • @Schmoikel okay, okay, i hear you and i know what theory means but seemed like the right word to use, thats why i used it

  • Thanks for the upload my friend, I missed this the other night.

  • were not alone in the galaxy.. there is no fucking way we are alone... to even think it is fucking stupid. we just havent detected any signal yet.. the best piece of evidence we got is the wow signal
