I love the sound of the wind at 4:40. I'm still dumbstruck everytime I hear her songs, and I've listened to her from the beginning of her career. I still have trouble believing someone only a couple years younger then I can produce such beautiful sounds. She had the voice of angles.
The original song is "Broken Vow" composed and sung by Lara Fabian. It's a song about romantic betrayal and forgiveness, a theme unsuited to an 11-year-old. I imagine that is why the French lyrics were changed. Now it's about the environment "before iPhones and diesel engines", as Jackie's French lyrics go. Maybe when she's older, Jackie will sing the powerfully emotional original lyrics the composer of the melody wrote.

Not since Mario Lanza has any singer given me Goosebumps like this. It takes years of dedication and practice, Yet Jackie who has been singing for just 3 years. Her emotion passion is supreme. Her movement’s facial expressions are that of a seasoned performer. When she stops singing Jackie goes back to being an 11 yr old.

If it is true the people in charge of awarding Grammie's to the most talented singers and musicians of this past year are NOT! going to acknowledege what Jackie Evancho has accomplished this past year, something is terriblly wrong with the system. Could it be true they don't want an eleven year old upstaging the whole show? Since this isn't a people's choice award show, protesting to them would be like talking to the wall. And it will prove they don't know true talent right before there nose.

I love the sound of the wind at 4:40. I'm still dumbstruck everytime I hear her songs, and I've listened to her from the beginning of her career. I still have trouble believing someone only a couple years younger then I can produce such beautiful sounds. She had the voice of angles.

The original song is "Broken Vow" composed and sung by Lara Fabian. It's a song about romantic betrayal and forgiveness, a theme unsuited to an 11-year-old. I imagine that is why the French lyrics were changed. Now it's about the environment "before iPhones and diesel engines", as Jackie's French lyrics go. Maybe when she's older, Jackie will sing the powerfully emotional original lyrics the composer of the melody wrote.

It's so amazing to watch all the musicians including David looking at their music sheets to make sure that are playing this right and here come 10 years old Jackie with no music sheet no props, and know by the second where she is in the song... The conductor is conducting the orchestra while Jackie is conducting herself :)

God save me. With my headphones on, I can hear the hauntingly beautiful glorious sound of Jackie and the Spirit of God, like the sound of rushing wind, with Jackie at 4:40. Or maybe it is just the beating of the wings of the angels that surround and guard her. Jackie has said she always prays and asks God to be with her and help her sing. Praise God for giving us this angelic child. I think Jackie is from of old, for she has an old soul.

This is a work of art that folks will be watching in a thousand years. My dad told me once that to properly appreciate the whole piece, you listen to only one instrument each time you play it until you have "listened" to them all. After than when you hear the piece you will appreciate it more.
Watch this again, paying attention to only the camera work and editing. Let Jackie be the background for one viewing.

She's such a great talent, I would love to hear her in opera, but I fear that she will sing pop opera instead. That's a shame, because there is not enough good singers in opera nowdays and it needs young people. But still, her Jackie's voice is really good.

I have sung and written almost every type of song as an amatuer, but Jackie has made me appreciate the real music, the classics. Jackie's love of God, her great range, and her hauntingly beautiful angelic voice, leaves no doubt, she was born to sing the classics and the great hymns. Like a vintage wine, Jackie's voice will even get better with time, as she elavates the world up to heaven.

Wikipedia doesn't really have a lot of info on him (nor does the jp.wikipedia article!), unfortunately. It's incredible, isn't it? My favorite song off her album. She has another "low" song like this on her newest album; I think it's called "Believe".

Like a Ferrari that should be tuned up and run through all its gears, Jackie's incredible voice, needs to stay tuned up by running it through its full range of notes. She must sing the very best songs and arias that require her to sing in the Classical genre. I'm glad she is done with the circus show AGT and BGT. I've read where even at concerts, people yelled out, I love you during a song, and think her conductor should ask the audience restrain applause til the end of her songs. It would be great for this Pittsburgh girl to sing the Nat'l anthem, and get exposure she deserves.

How anyone can say it belittles her to sing at major sporting events, fails to realize it is an honor to do so. It also exposes her talent to millions of people who otherwise are not familiar with her talent.
