@AscribetoCollective I just tried the Flat Top theory and IT WORKS. The wind through my properly butched mane aerodynamically straightens the put.... I can stick it in the hole from any distance and moisture conditions! Thanks Mike and Ascribeto!

WHOA ! FOLKS. VERY, VERY BAD ADVICE.

Keeping the face of the putter square throughout back & through stroke requires MAJOR manipulation of the fine forearm muscles - good luck with any consistency.

Tiger Woods does NOT putt this way nor do the majority of winning Pros on tour.

The majority of Great putters of the past did not try to 'manipulate' the putter face, rather they just allowed it to square naturally @ impact.

I think judging distance is just something you pick up the more you play. At least thats my opinion.

really? but tiger's doing this? seems to work for the best player, best putter, best CLUTCH putter in the HISTORY of Golf. and there have been a lot of great players who did this longer before tiger. he just does it better than them. i don't think its outdated then. wouldn't you agree?

Right. HEqd over the ball at address and it's easy to move the putter head in a straight line.

your having a difficult time squaring the blade to the line because it's not natural to do what he is asking you to do..the putter will naturally follow an arc..Straight back and through is impossible to do unless you are 90% over the putter and your shoulders are over the ball...you can probably go straight back and through only on the shortest of putts...
