the guy did it, the side windows are single pain, no laminate besides i guess the tint. the front windshield is double pained with laminate in between. Guess wich breaks first.

People are used in SPL competitions in order to dampen vibrations and flex in order to increase the peak SPL score.

If you follow the origin of the cracks, its where the windshield bounced off of Mike's shoes so yes they may have been a determining factor in it breaking.

People underestimate how tough windshields actually are.

And I wanna see a video of you taking 160+db to the ass and not falling. LoL

Look up Steve Cook Windshield Imploding.

You must not be in the right area of car audio because tons of people have lost their windshields.

Mike Singer had loads of issues with the windsheild in his Eclipse before he got rid of it.

And I'm pretty sure Mike Hughes ass might have helped in a way. :)

@abombu235 this is physics, and glass, even security glass can take only so much pressure for a certain amount of time... you can bullet prove windows, but they don't necessarily withstand constant pressure applied.

yeahh people dont under stand the db thing 150 is kinda easy to get if you build the box just for compitions but it will be tuned high. but daily systems are tuned low like 40-25hz maybeand thats hard to get hi db on lows. theres a car with 6 15'' hcca's and it does like 150+ @ 20hz thats fucking crazy
