The best James Bond movies and music ever were in the Roger Moore movies. They were instant James Bond classics! Without a doubt, Roger Moore was the definitive "James Bond" - 007. A class act all the way!

I don't know about you but I certainly miss Roger Moore as 007". The wonderful thing is though, I still have great memories of those movies.

Few know Roger Moore was one of the favorite actors of Ian Fleming who wrote the James Bond novels. He was listed as one of the actors to play Bond in Dr.No but had a contract with tv. Later he was approached before You only live twice, On her majesty's secret service but somehow didn't get the part. After Connery retired and no money in the world could get him to make Live and let die, he recommended Roger Moore to the producers and the rest is history. Moore made 7 movies.Top

Roger Moore actually first played James Bond in 1964, in a made for tv spoof of the movies. It was probably there Moore developed the more humorous take on the character.

People also forget that if not for Moore's lighter version of Bond the genre might have died with the 60's. In the 70's people wanted more entertainment rather than a 60's character. This concept worked well into the 80's. Far too many people are on the "bash Moore bandwagon". Such a shame.
