Actually, while I agree with others that his voice is awesome...it only seems to be better when it's in higher notes or scream notes. For instance, the "lower' notes at the beginning before the actual chorus...his voice isn't that impressive. I enjoy it anyway because I've been an Aerosmith fan for who knows how many years, and particularly this song is one of my favorites. But his voice really shines during the chorus part...the raspy voice really comes out then. That's what makes it good.

Of course we all know that in his younger days before all of the drug use and even in the earlier stages of it, his voice was super clean (like the song Angel, for instance...that's one of his clearest songs). As he got older, yes, his voice will of course fade a little. But he has been doing drugs into his early 60's. The doc gave him pills and he was snorting them just a few years ago, and stopped again. His voice goes in and out. Look at videos from 2001, 2007 and 2010. 2007 sounds horrible.
