The "energy problem" is one Obama is creating. We can continue as is for several years while we plan a sensible set of solutions that we can afford and that will make a difference, starting with nuclear power plants. Energy is a government-made crisis.
Are you kidding me? Where were you when gas go up to $5 a gallon? Where were you when troops were sent to protect the oil rifineries in the middle east?
Seriously, there is no debate about whether or not there is one. That debate has been had. The only debate is how to handle it now. Not later, like cowards, but now.
Waiting until we run out is a childish idea that lacks any kind of foresight and determination.
