kind of like a modern day Moody Blues. the lead singer reminds me of Neil Young. i'm 48 and my kids turned me on to these most mellifluous sounds. very deep and evocative. Fleet Foxes are way Cool!!
@sleeping2dr3am it's probably the sense of nostalgia and effervescence of epic believing in guidance of higher powers. it's odd because I don't feel the same way about this song as I did a while ago, it just has a different effervescence. what it meant to me at the time I first heard it was righteous self empowerment in the most epic way then becoming transcendence. this whole album really did, it brought me to very philosophical places in my mind that were regressed over time I guess.
