  • How is the bass on these monitors? low bass?

  • @xSoEpicc nope it depends on the frequency response .

  • sick beat were culd I find it

  • мощность все равно можно услышать даже на своих колонках

  • My friend has the RP5s. Great sound though the bass dropped out pretty sharply below a certain frequency which could be more than solved by the subwoofer. I don't have th emoney for monitors and subwoofer so thought the 8" model would give madequate bass response; more so than the RP5s? Am I right in this assumption? Any tips on buying studio monitors? Cheers

  • just got my krk rokit 8's, awesome monitors, top quality sound :)

  • How do you connect them to a computer?!

  • we are hearing them through youtube and whatever speakers we already have......this doesn't work.

  • are there bass in the speakers?

  • Could you play a song that represents a full range audio? Thanks.

  • Uuuuh yeah daaawg!.. Uh uh..

  • I use these in my college to mix with ... find them waaay too bassy!

  • @MrPamber I wanted to say this, but you alreadu did... The bass is waaaayy to hyped indeed, that's probably why all the novice "producers" like this monitor. It doesn't sound as flat as the real monitorspeakers.

Just buy a HiFi-set when you're thinking of buying one of these, it'lll probably be a lot cheaper + you've got some surrountsound for the DVD's. When you're serious about producing, mixing etc. don't buy these!

  • Did you get that Chinese writing in Chinatown? Do you even realize what it said? It saya "tiny penis" in cantonese looooooool!!

  • i am purchasing the krk rokit 8 this friday, are these excelllent for mixing AND low frequency responses on beats??

  • I have this set too and they are awesome. The microphone used in this video does not do the speakers justice, they do sound clean and tight, and as well as neutral at all volumes, but not an entirely dead quiet noise floor. Although, I hear small imperfections with the speaker's sound reproduction, it comes far ahead all other monitors at its price range. The sound can improved by using an external DAC/headphone amp or preamp section. I have my gain a little more than 1/2. VXTs are good too!

  • i love my vxt8 but you can't do mastering on them (to omuch headroom = dangerous because you don't hear yje saturation as well as on many other speakers) other than that, I just love my vxt8... but love the fact that I also kept my alesis monitor 1 because they are also extermely powerful for mixing.

  • sooooo nice^^

  • Long text short sene, the speakers are dope..buy it!

  • wtf?!

  • I love the tweeters on the KRKs. They don't mush all the highs into a sizzle like others. Makes them great to mix on knowing the highs are nice and clean.

  • rokits are actually shit, i sold mine and im buying the vxts

  • if you use itunes to listen to, open up the equalizer. adjust the settings and i promise that no one will think that they are not that loud. i was not impresed at first but then i discovered this and now i cant stop smiling when i listen to them. they are incredible. the sound is amazing and the bass is more than plenty, but you must make the adjustments or you will not be blown away.

  • @mrbadmonkey68 You dummy, these speakers are made to have as close to flat frequency response as possible, meaning no certain frequencies are boosted/cut. You're probably boosting the highs and lows which sounds "good" to the ear (and louder) but totally defeats the purpose of have monitor speakers. Plus these are near-field speakers, so they don't fill a room with tons of sounds. You could have saved a lot of cash if you just wanted loud, colored, bass-y speakers.

  • I Got it and i Love It! Hell yeah!

  • my friend has them, they aren't that loud, but they sound incredible,

  • how would do u connect these to ur comp??

  • can you feel the bass vibrate around the room? how much bass can you feel?

  • WHAT THAAA HELLL IS GOOINNN ON WITH UR SPEAKER!!!! HOTT HOT HOTTT!!!!

PS: HOT BEAT!!! GONNA BUY THE SPEAKERS NEXT WEEKK YEAH

  • @OZMUSIQ saol!

  • @BlackstylezZ hey m8! i found those at 220 euros but i m comfused the picture just shows 1 speaker. I dont know about this stuff lol. Its 1 speaker only? or i have to pay 220x2 = 440?

  • my speaker makes a weird sound why is that!?!?!? i need help!! >_<

  • HOT BEAT MY G im feeling the drumz hot

  • bggbh go for it mate!

  • I use it for one song I recorded in hired studio. For any monitors you need to treat the room. I would say that they are awesome for the money you pay. I have 6 pairs of the studio monitors so I won't be buying anything for a while but if I need the studio monitors and have low budget I would be getting these. Again you need to learn to translate any monitors and sound treat your room. After a while you will get your mixes to be proud of. Merry Christmas

  • Anyone can give a advice if these Rokit 8 from KRK are the best for Hip Hop music in this price range ? If not can anyone give me an clue about any Studio Speakers that worth it ?

  • @Jhood7891

Try having a look at the Adam A5 or A7s. They are awesome for the money paid.

  • Do you have to buy each one or does it come in a pair?

  • This music test is really gay, choose maybe real music with real instruments, and not via Youtube...

  • is this accurate?

  • Sup, my rokits power leds seems to be different in brightness one is more bright than the other one, has anyone experienced this as well? Since is said that the led is connected to the amp can it mean that the amp with the less brighter led is about to fail or drawing less power? I will appreciate any info.

  • I bought the krk 6 inch and was impressed so i also bought the 8 inch

  • u can remove that foam because it has no effect for the monitors......

foam is good for high frequencies...

  • Krk Rockit series are good monitors for the price. but if you want step your game up then you must go for better mackie or something else

  • does anybody know how these compare to Audio ENgine?

  • nice blastin beat bro!

(imho a bit too many drum hits at the same level, half of it should do it.... you could let the first ones play in the background without too much bass and let the last ones really hit it...)

  • krk's are way too expensive. i have built better for less than half the price of these

  • China ehh... ;x

  • the name of song?

  • These are so god damn big!

  • @NokEtOffer thats wat she said........sorry

  • @Tempo2010 nice

  • @Tempo2010 I laughed, actually

  • my P5's still bump lol i think i need to upgrade they sound nice. check out my remixes and beats. i would appreciate the feedback

  • Does the RP8's transformator produce any noise? I got some RP6 exposing a pretty quiet but annoying 50Hertz sound at the bass reflex hole even with no audio cables jacked in (thus, no ground problem)! I'm thinking about getting the RP8 instead if they have a better transformator. Do your RP8s expose any noise in idle condition when you put your ear near the bass reflex hole?

  • how do these compare to mackie mr8 and behringer b2031A in terms of bass response and clarity for music production studio? anyone? hmm..

  • @izaatmusic I'd say they're all around the same but I think the KRKs are a bit better. These are just entry level monitors after all.

  • I WILL GET THIS SPEACKERS IF SOME ONE TELLS ME HOW LOUD THERE ARE :D

  • @TheBDProductionz loud enough ;)

  • take them off the desk i can here the base comming thru the desk

  • hi,

    i need some help,

i love music, and i have high quality tracks,

i want to buy a pair of speaker reasonable price £200,

i want the speakers to be really loud crystal clear and i want great bass as well

please could someone explain what ones are good and what i need to work them...

    thanks in advance

  • are these loud but clear with great bass

  • что это за трек? name this track?

  • Watz the difference between Rokit and VXT??? I plan on buying one of them. The "8's"

  • I HAVE THESE , THEY ARE SO GOOD !!

  • i love these speakers, can't wait tlll i get mine!!

  • Getting mine in a couple of days in the mail. Can't wait :D

  • Well the hip hop / new age drum machine stuff is almost certainly going to be bottom heavy and my Samson 50a Resolv near field monitors provide a "tighter" boom boom - which means with trained ears you can predict the final mix's translation onto ANY medium, be it a beat up 80's ghetto blaster, a Fischer (yikes!) to a JVD 6.0 Dolby Dg Surround Stereo / Theatre system, should sound great across the board. Demo tip: play Steey Dan's "Josie" to get the BIG AUDIO PICTURE.

  • how much are these?

  • Get them off the desk!!!! either on stands or acoustic vibro pads!!! All that is happening is that desk will absorb the bass frequencies, and as cool as that may be your not getting the true sound from them!!!

  • do you used the balanced connector? trs or xlr? if so where do you plug it into?

  • Peeps Subsribe to my channel!

I will upload the Beat calls "In the club" enjoy and support the Music!

  • @BlackstylezZ thanks bro... great beat... keep it up

  • Nice Volume you have there:P Get a Rp10 and you have the sound of an F16^^

But anyways Great Monitors, I've them too. And they are just amazing. Do you have an external soundcard? Or did you conncet it too the keyboard/Synthesizer.

  • can you upload that beat for us? xD

  • what's the name of the song/beat?

  • you wont hear the real sound of them through youtube lol...

  • @samthepoor explain how else someone can demo them.

  • @JamieandhisIbanez: the best option is to find a music store near you and try them out.

  • @samthepoor yes but people obviously want to hear demos on youtube lol.. my demo got 25k views. Besides there are very select stores which sell certain monitors. Guitars, etc every music shop has. Monitors like these you need to go to a specialist shop, or an expo or something.

  • arg, whats that hollow sound... place some foam under em to reduce the unwanted bass feedbacks ;) very very good monitors thogh!!!

  • Those monitors are crazy, I've listened to them in person and they're not that bad!

  • dey beatin

  • 8'' bass?

  • Bad speaker placement bro!

  • nice beat

  • Wow, I'm actually looking to buy monitors... so what soundcard have you got? (interface)

  • i cant wait till i get mine.

    :l

  • looks freakin great ... wait it also sounds f*****g great =D

  • No Programm, Motif Synth!

  • @BlackstylezZ would u recommend these speakers?

  • @FiSTFigHT09 yes!

  • @FiSTFigHT09 yes!

  • sick beat.. what program?

  • whats the song?

  • are these good for djin house parties

  • are you using a subwoofer in this vid?

  • @YungFellasDotNet these have built in subs...kinda.

  • @YungFellasDotNet

    I think no.

    The Krk aren't need a subwoofer ;)

  • All speakers the size of KRK Rokits need a sub! Any monitor with a woofer under the size of about 8 Inches needs a sub I would say, because the woofer's size is just two small to generate the low bass frequencies that a sub generates!

  • @djdiscomikki correct

  • @djdiscomikki Smaller woofers cannot move enough air(linear displacement) to properly reproduce the lower frequency range at a sufficient output.

  • @bsod4u2 Yes indeed mate, you just explained basically what I said, except in a more complicated and in depth way that not many people will understand, that is unless they are knowledgable in acoustics and monitor technology lol. I'm not sure if you're genuinely just putting your input of knowledge in, or trying to act like a smartarse. If it was the latter, then no one likes a smartarse engineer. But hopefully it wasnt...

  • Nice speakers man. I spent so, so long dreaming about them myself!!

I must have been abducted by aliens at some point recently, because when I was returned, my bank balance had dropped and there were a set of Prodipe ribbon 8's at my front door!!!

  • cool story?

  • Netter Beat kannst den net ma rein stellen??

  • Thanks, yes its my work!

  • I know the feeln thats why i called them my Latin queens

  • Yeah u can connect them on a mixer than to the pc with inch cable!

U need a good soundcard maybe from

    m-audio is not expensive :)

  • That Monitors are the best I ever had till yet! The Bump u the head away!

U can make them louder on the back +6db highs and bass very big!

  • do they bump? Do you really feel em when ur in the same room? Im about to cop monitors next week, and I think I might grab these

  • I dont need a Subwoofer the good a lot Power and bass :)

  • thanks for the vid! are they very accurate for mixing and do they need a subwoofer? thanks

  • just ordered theese yesterday, cant wait to get them

  • what do they cost?

  • they cost 250$ each

  • I got them myself too:) god i love the sound of it :D

  • haha funny u say that... I had the same problem with my pair..

One of them was damaged. had to send it back :(

  • guitarman55555, I am currently using bx5as and theyre well worth the money.

Thats what I stared out on as well as i was on a budget.

Im looking to upgrade now tho :)

  • @LudaKris1991 I had a brand new pair arrive today.......damaged :( just my luck lol

  • Has anyone heard the BX5a's or Wharfedale Diamond Studio 8.1 ProActive. They're for a 16 yr old starting out, someone with a lower budget

    Cheers

  • i just picked up these but im beginning to think they are not accurate

  • the older model is alot better :)

  • @jhood7891 what makes you think that?

  • @jhood7891 they're not, too much bass and midrange, not enough treble from what I've heard

  • @jhood7891 what do u mean? I am about to buy them, dont wanna make a mistake with this kind of money.

  • @jhood7891 why did you said that? Based on this video i also got the same opinion as you.

  • @jhood7891 set them up to where your seat and the speakers make an equal lateral triangle. like your seat and the speakers are the corners. and angle them to you. and have the big speaker cone at ear lvl. and make sure nothings infront of them. you might already be doing that. thats just the best i can say with out seeing your set up

  • @jhood7891 you are right.. they aren't really accurate (they make your mixes sound better than they actually do) if you want an honest monitor in this price range get the yamaha hs80 and dont look back!

  • @megagavelli I agree, Yamaha's are best for the price range by far.....

  • @jhood7891 do they sell separate or do u get 3 of them, why not accurate

  • Ehy man, do you need some audio interface or the simple sound card plug is fine?

  • Does it say anywhere on your KRK's where they are actually manufactured? I know the company is in Florida, but are the made in the USA? Mackie is in Washington but all there stuff is actually made in China.

  • I believe they're made in China

  • do you know how much rokit tweeters run?

  • I would go for the G2's over the MR8's. The G2's have a more natural sound to them where as the MR8's can sometimes sound like they are been over driven and have a less natural bass to them.

  • I was initially very keen on getting the Mackie MR8s but after speaking to several professionals I have been told that these KRK RP8s are far better. They have a 2hz difference which I'm told makes a huge difference to the sound quality. In general these KRK RP8's are seen as being better than the MR8s. Hopefully that helps some of you guys make up your mind

  • Comment removed

  • That beats AWESOME!!

  • nice beat

  • Mackie MR8s are better than KRK Rokits?

Waiting to buy monitors..just trying to get other opinions...

  • how much are these ?? btw i would get m-audio bx5a's there 150 pounds and there just as good than krk rp5's 5 inch kevla woofer and 1inch tweeeter :D

  • Mackie MR8s own over any KRK in the same price range, best quality/flat monitors for the low end budget

  • I like the Yamaha White face...I think its the HS80s. I like those better. The KRK joints are ok. I am on some Tascams right now and they are great for only 300 bucks.
