well you can export animation as bitmap pictures. but theres a problem. my pc never saves them.

Have you tried Terragen 2 Beta yet? It's more powerful and customisable BUT you can't hand-sculpt your own land like you can in T1. If the feature doesn't make it into the full version of T2 I will cry...

Terragen is a free software where you can make 3d landscapes! Try it! Its a little hard at first, but it takes some getting used to.

how do you get the quality so good

:D if you go to the rendering control box, there's a box which says "image size" and you click on it. Mine is 971 x 728.

If you make the image bigger, you'll get better quality, that's how I got mine to look realistic. Also, it doesn't hurt to move the "detail" slider up all the way. The more off to the left it is, the more cartoonish it looks. :) hope this helped you!!!

How did you make the landscape som big??

Terragen generates the terrain after you tell it basic parameters like water, terrain type, height etc and it does the hard work. Its been ages since I used it, some good tutes on youtube if you want more info.
