People on this discussion board need to get over the author using the term "Asians." It's all semantics really, and the bigger issue still exists... sharks are being killed solely for their fins.

Asians as a whole? I'm glad to see how bright and openminded Americans are, nowadays. Americans must be behind the Holocaust as well, right? They must because all you mates are caucasian! Love how an animal rights activist is also an ethnically defunct retard
Not sure how should I describe you.... Naive? You wake up and you will see your surrounding people are still eating it. I am from an Asian country. I see how people eat shark's fin. Shark's fin is tasteless but why do people still like shark's fin? People here still treat it as a delicacy. Especially now Chinese New Year is near, sales will go up. And almost all wedding banquet, there will be shark's fin served.
I see that you're free Singapore. Well, you classified the *Asian* race as a whole as being the main executioners of your beloved sharks. It is not the Asians as a whole, but some countries. Same situation for the seal clubbers of Canada. There are some Canadian seal clubbers, but we do not call all Canadians seal clubbers. I would have expected this from someone outside of the asian ethnicity. You call me naive, yet you still blur the lines of ethnic prejudice and selfrighteousness.
