@Nextionnn you can get an electronic boost gauge or one like mine. There all the same thing, as long as it tells you how much boost your running, its doing what its supposed to do.
14-15psi is stock. Your guage should read around -20hg at idle. I am stage 2+ now and I peak at around 23psi. It's highly unlikely for the K03 to peak any higher than that, your guage may be off if it is.
Boost Gauges can be off slightly for a variety of reasons one that is typical especially on a higher boosting car is the cheap line from the gauge itself. not necesasrly a leak but a weak vacum hose that may be near higher heat can cause the line to flex or close up when creating vacumn or boost.. I had my lines too clost to the down pipe on my Grand National and caused gauge to misread constantly. the line was chocking off no leaks in the line just fatigue.. something to look at good luck
even though the cars are mass produced some work different then others. so ifs its just off by alittle then thats nothing but if it was off by like 5 or somethen there could be a problem. but if its just one then its just the quality of the car itself
I doubt we have a leak, but 14-15 psi doesn't sound stock. Maybe they have the 30h anniversary gti. Those come stock with 30 more hp than ours. THats the only explanation i can come up with, that or their chipped.
is that normal for a stock car? mine was only stoke for about 3 weeks and I never had the gauge before then. Now with all the mods 4th 5th and 6th gear can get 24psi and sometimes hit 25. So I wanted to know if 10 was normal stoke
does this pod still allow you full range on the tilt and telescoping steering wheel?

I agree, also temperature could affect the ecu's requested boost pressure. Maybe, my boost gauge is off, that could be another explanation.
WaZzAp11010 3 years ago
oh yah btw when it's idle is the vaccum pressure a little below 20 line, say like 20.5 or something

When you car is off, is the pointer at 0?
I dont know why, but when my car is off, the gauge reads 1/2 lb minus 0.
WaZzAp11010 3 years ago
yah my 2007 is stock and spikes at 12-13 psi, is that normal? cuz other people have gotten 14-15 psi before? Does that mean we have a leak?

spiking at 12 nd holding 10 is normal for stock. What chip did u tune with? cause 25 psi is way too high for a stock turbo
