How are you going to compare Lady gaga to The Verve? Lady GaGa came in 2008 and The Verve came long before her in the damn 90's...their music is completely different, and not even comparable. I just knew and liked "The Verve" when the band released singles such as "Blue","Slide Away" etc. from their first album "A Storm In Heaven". I 've just said that cause in my country (Italy) The Verve became well-known only in 1997 after releasing singles like "Better Sweet Symphony","Lucky Man","Sonnet","The drugs don't work" etc. and their related LP "Urban Hymns".I like The Verve's music which is great !!!

these are well written, beautiful and meaningful songs, which are about loss, death, and depression - very real subjects which is why they are very relatable.

The Drugs Don't Work for example is written about a girlfriend he had who was sying of cancer. Ashcroft didn't want to see her taking the medication prescribed to keep her alive because they made her so ill but he knew that by doing that he would keep her for at least another day.

you've clearly never loved if these songs dont affect you.
