Everything about this match is a classic. The four best workers in the company were performing in a tag-team match. The two most popular babyfaces during tha era for the WWF going up against two of the hottest heels in Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels. Combine that with Bobby Heenan and Jim Ross on commentary and you have a classic matchup.
@Dashortie12 A lot of classic matches took place on Prime Time Wrestling during the 80s and 90s, but this wasn't one of them. You save this type of match for the Coliseum Videos, not for the TV tapings, so customers have incentive to go out and cop the Coliseum Videos. You give this type of shit away for free on TV, everybody is going to tape it, and nobody will buy the Coliseum Videos. It's business shortie.
Now how could this have been off a Prime Time Wrestling taping when JR didn't even join the company until 1993? @Dashortie12 This is off a coliseum video, not off a Prime Time taping yo. There's no way in the world they would have shown this type of match during a Prime Time Wrestling taping in 1992. Strictly Coliseum Video shit yo.
@Ghouse666 Flair's last decent match was when he lost the world title to Hart. He's been a washed up bum ever since. 19 years of slow-moving, boring, nothing but slaps-to-the-chest "wrestling". Wtill at What, exactly?
@MartyMoves i didn't say his matches were good, a couple of them since were decent but i just meant the fact he still takes bumps and whatnot for a 64 yr old man that's pretty good no matter how washed up you are, however his promos get more and more priceless with age, no one in tna can touch him promo wise
This match is literally the two best wrestlers vs the two worst wrestlers. Bret and Randy Savage are two of the greats, the other two are two of the three most over rated of all time.
@OwenStillLives are you fucking serious, you must be the most arrogant fucking piece of shit in this world to criticize legends like these 4 men. you should fucking die, bitch
@b09h I wasn't criticizing any legends. Macho and Bret are two phenominal wrestlers, Shawn and Flair are, were and always will be the biggest waste of air time the wcw and the wwe ever had.
@OwenStillLives hahahahaha!! You're such a joke. Shawn and Flair? really? you want to compare them to the tenacity of Hart and Savage? weeeeaaaaaaaaak
@Skinnycoffee Heh try 5 best, Perfect is there too. It's very rare to see the 4 best mat wrestlers of all time in one match. That being Savage, Hart, HBK, & Perfect. 2 best mat technicians ever in Perfect & Hart, and 2 best high fliers ever in HBK & Savage, who also are no slouches as mat technicians. I can't imagine how much better this match would have been if Flair had been ringside and Hennig was in the match instead.
awww..man...memories...i stopped following wrestling , when bret left the wwf...now a days it sucks...all show...no talent at all....i take that back..there might be a guy or 2 with talent...
@ 3:17 JR says that "Bret Hart has been WWF Tag Champ, IC Champ & WWF Champ"... at the time of this match, Bret hadn't won the WWF title.. in fact, Randy Savage lost the title to Ric Flair a short while after this match took place.. Bret lost the IC title to British Bulldog @ SS 92, then went on to def Ric Flair at a non-televised event in Saskatoon to win his 1st WWF title..I'm guessing that JR & Bobby Heenan were commentating over old WWF footage in this vid, thats the only logical explanation
Yeah, they would dub the commentary in Stamford after the matches took place. This must be right before Summerslam 1992. Jim Ross also sounds very un-enthused
Yea Flair you sure were a draw....I could hear a pin drop when you're entrance hit.

is jim ross doing commentary in this match? if it is, I thought this was 1992. JR wasn't in WWE in 1992. Hmmm.

@truthsupplier1 It's dubbed in. They've done it for a lot of the older matches/videos.

this match took place in 1992. JR came to WWF in 1993. you are right, they're commentating an old WWF footage at that time
MarkRigor17 1 year ago
@spook2fast Yeah, the commentary was retrospective. They do this a lot, especilaly for the Coliseum Video releases.
