I don't really like Ralph Feinnes as John Doyle. I don't think it'll be easy for me to see the Duke of Devonshire as an endearing father. I like Maggie Smith, though. If it were she and her son together, that could add more of a familial feel to them.

I always pictured Ian Holm as Denby, though, since he ALWAYS plays the guy you can't quite trust. Emma Thompson would be HILARIOUS, though!

haha Hugh as Fowlson. I love it. Fowlson is English, but grew up in the slums, right? Yeah. Hugh would be perfect. I remember a couple of hilarious comments that gave off the vibe of Grumpy. Then again, maybe Fowlson shouldn't be that strangely/ruggedly handsome... ;^)

I definitely like Eddie as Tom. There's just something about him that says he can be an ass, gold digger, a prude, fooled into thinking a secret society is interested in him, so on and so forth. Uuh nothing against Eddie personally. He just reminds me of Tom. Tom is all of those things at some point to some degree

Oh yes, Tilda needs to be in it. She has the right look. I'm not sure who I'd want her to be though. Yeah, likely Philon now that I think on it.
By the way, I love "I Hear the Bells" by Mike Doughty, it was on the Veronica Mars soundtrack, which I still listen to--a lot.
Oh and I love (again) the Dance Dance version in instrumental. I'm in a lovin' mood today.
Okay. One known that I feel most strongly about being in the movie is Tom Sturridge.
