what i dont understand is that my koi fish hide from us and dont eat all we do is put the food in the pond and step away and they dont come out to eat
if you don't want your fishes to be stressed out, just send them away on a cruise ship around the Caribbean, they will love it specially if they are tropical salt water fishes.
@willy1227 Or you can just buy a cheap dechlorinator and detoxifier and save time and baking soda. Water changes aren't exactly complicated, you know.
I have a question.love your videos by the way.my first time with a fish and I didn't know you were suppose to do this.but now my tiger catfish is dying.is there any other way to save it.I mix all the old water with new one on accident.fuck.
Guys! I have a new arowana on my fish tank. I have a problem now The ammonia level now .5ppm , I really need your help. I feed once a day Pellet & dried shrimp 8 pcs.and sometimes 3 small gold fish. I recently change the fish water every 5 days , I use drinking water on my fish tank. pls let me know what was wrong with my system, thank you I am so nervous.
i have a baby oranda black and orange and it always hides behind a artifical plant is it sick and i have 2 other baby orandas plz help it only comes out to eat
oh, its such a big deal to keep fish, im just going to do everything i can and spend alot of money to keep a few bucks worth of fish alive. i think im going to find a therapist to keep my fish happy and make sure they're not stressed!
i monitor my fish every hour after water change. I try to keep my hydrometer below 1.024. What I've noticed that when I have water ripple effect, my fish will survive. Without water ripple effect, it dies. Is this something to do with aeration?
i Want to start marine and i want to get a Green Moray eel But is it really Hard to maintain it i am 13 and do not have that much Money so roughly how much would it cost on a Monthly Basis Please reply i have tropical freshwater fish but i have always wanted a green Moray
change your water , use drinking water , use ultra violet light , keep out the sunlight , good filter or canister , if you have fish tank 40 gallons , use fiter above 40 , double , no algue . 100%
i baught new a filter because i baught another filter fron another place that turned out to be faulty.
the water i put in is fresh and the gravel is clean, it has no fish in the tank as of yet.
my concern is waiting 6 days untill the filter i ordered arives will i have have to change the water again because its been sat there for a possable 5 days with no filter?
@kaleluk31 no you probably dont need to change the water but i just noticced u posted that commetnt 6 months ago sooooo this is not really going to help but i prob would just take out some water not like scrup it down or syphon the gravel or anything and i would do this because dust and other contaminents might get in your water hope ur fish tank is doing well
26 degrees celsius is the temp that I keep my fresh water tank at. If it gets above about 30 degress celsius do a water change with some cooler tap water.
when fish are stressed their gills will often be enflamed, they will breath fast, and they will be very skiddish, possibly torn up, or have infactions.
to critique the video.
new research supports claimsthat drip acclimatin for more than 15 minutes is bad for the majrity of your fishes health, that is not to say their are not exceptions to this rule, more reserch is required.

change 20% of water weekly or 50% monthly .
every time you do a water change add one table spon of bakinsoda per 10 galons.
........i have been doing this for years and never had a problem........you dont need any chemicals ............try this .....you will thank me later

i have a Oscars and i dont know why the water keeps turning a lit green ? can some one help me
bambamintheair 2 years ago
could be a number of things, But most common would be that;
there isn't enough air flow into the tank
not enough algae eaters (sucker fish)
to much lime in the tank or other minerals
i suggest you get a ph tester and remove any foreign objects. things such as timber bricks and rocks can all have an effect on the water ph levels

how do u get your fish into the aquarium with out geting it stressed
justinW1286 2 years ago
if a fish is moving from high to low salinity , a fish can be acclimated in under a minute.
when from low to high it will almost always take the full 15 minutes.
i still recomend the full 15 minutes, i do not condone just throwing them in.

How can you tell if the fish are stressed?

fish are much hardier than most suspect.
ctenophor 2 years ago
Hmmmm we have 2 goldfish and they seem not to move much like they stay on one spot and won't swim around like other fish I see...
Anything wrong with them?
ephr123 2 years ago
their could be many things, or nothing wrong with them.
what size tank do you have?
what do you feed?
and what are the water paramaters?
temp, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, phosphate, ph, alkalinity, etc.
with this i can help you....possibly

what do fish do when they are stressed?
NativeLights12 3 years ago
They explode if left stressed for to long. Can crack your tank as well.
