The whole fate anime was just a bit of the whole story and I think they should make a movie about what happened to shirou AFTER the war,, I know it's KIND OF covered in FHA, but that's a eroge.. IT NEEDS A MOVIE AND THAT'S THE TRUTH!

Actually the first time i watched fate, i felt it was a bit dry, but the second time i watched it I understood, that there was something beyond the story that was shown in the anime.. AND I WANT MORE!

@Kamaras11 We already know this. Again, Unlimited Bladeworks follows the second story path from the Visual Novel.. The anime series and the movie will be the same up to a certain point early on, and then one decision is made that changes the entire story.

All i'm wishing, is to see a different and satisfying end. The original ending of the anime was so sad and breath taking. To be honest i never felt that bad after watching an anime, even after watching movies and tv series.

That's just the first story path.The game has two more beside it,This movie is an adaptation of the second story path.The anime was an adaptation of the first path combined with elements of the second and third.Keep playing and you'll see what i mean

@mohedd I dunno, Archer and Shirou against each other was awesome, Archer had a valid reason for his character and his actions (mostly...I mean, his life as a Counter Guardian SUCKS and his ideals were completely shattered), Archer's blades are good if he uses them right and he's proficient with them (they have magical resistance and each is attracted to the other if one is knocked away, allowing for some interesting strategies). Happy end, yes, but that makes up for the Heaven's Feel route.

thats saber in different form in the Heaven's Feel route when she was consumed by dark sakura. the skeleton masked dude is the REAL or TRUE assassin which also made an appearance in heaven's feel route. he was summoned by sakura and shinji's grandpa using the skin of the old assassin (the one with the long sword)

And I'd be pissed if they changed the UBW in any way. The anime tried to get all 3 routes together in some way which i thought made it terrible. Each route is it's own different story and it should remain that way.

This movie will be a lot better than the show. UBW was better than Fate, both in plot and character focuses. Archer is a shit character (go ahead and flame me bitches), but Shirou, Caster, Kuzuki, Lancer, Gilgamesh, and Shinji all get more focus, which is nice. Ilya and Berserker also get an incredible scene (0:42-0:43 FTW!!!). Only characters that I like that are missing in focus are Kotomine and True Assassin... who obviously doesn't even exist in UBW.

@Metalink05 do u by any chance know if it's based on the actual route or is it gonna be more like the manga and have a mixture but mostly UBW for the story. In the manga i checked through the raws and there's alot of changes like rider dies the same way as in fate and shiro makes another contract with saber instead of Rin.

@kavinh10 From what I hear, it's more like the actual Novel. The first series is being released as two OAVs called "Fate/Stay Night TV Reproduction" with re-animated fights and supposedly minus that stupid CG dragon.

The manga has managed to mangle much of the story, in my opinion.

@kavinh10 The OVAs won't use the manga version of events, the OVAs are just a remake of the anime series, which followed the Fate route of the Visual Novel, with some additions from the other routes to fill in some of the story (primarily a bit more of Caster).

The anime series did not have the sex scenes of the visual novel, instead replacing the scene in the forest with a trippy sequence where Shirou gets his arm bitten off by a computer-generated dragon.

The TV series was 'mainly' following the 'Fate route' for the story, as for the movie, it is following the 'Unlimited Blade Works route'.

I suspect it would begin with similiar story in the beginning of the movie in the form of retelling, and then the story will take a different path somewhere with different story, as well as with a different ending...if it remain loyal to the story from the game that is.

Fate/Stay night is kinda like those "choose your own adventure" books a long time ago; Depending on your choices, it could go 3 different ways and end on 3 different ways. Therefore, Fate had 3 different routes and endings: Fate, UBW, and Heaven's Feel. The anime was (mainly) Fate, this movie is UBW, and I don't know if they'll make Heaven's Feel. ...Interesting thing about Fate/Stay night is that certain plot holes and characters aren't answered until u read all 3 routes.
